Special Rules Game: A center is randomly selected (through chance) at the start of the game. Whoever controls it a decade later (Fall 1910) wins. If you solo before then, you win as well. Draws are not allowed. There will always be one winner and 6 losers. Standard Map, 36 hour phases, WTA. 1. steephie22
I know that when you click save instead of ready, you get a gray check. But if time runs out before you click ready, are your saved moves inputed or do you have no moves for that turn?
Colorblindness update and live game display option
Colorblind options are now live. Live game display option is also live. Both settings can be changed under "settings." Much thanks to ATC and the dev team, including thorfi, Kestas, and Oli. ATC will also push out the auto update fix for the colorblind option soon. You might have to manually update your map to see the change at the moment. Please thank them for the work they do and let us know how much you enjoy these updates!
Krystle Marie Campbell (29), Lu Lingzi (23), Martin William Richard (8), and Sean A. Collier (27). Not to mention the 264 other injured people. The bomber does not deserve to have his name remembered by society, they do.
To fill out a locked game. Full disclosure several of us have played multiple games together, and some know one another personally, but we all leave that at the door and play to win. gameID=160620 Ppsc, full press, non anon, 1901
He set down a backpack with a bomb he helped make, set it down in a crowd of civilians, and it exploded, ripping apart, among several others, a little boy. Then he went, partied, and prepared to do it again.
I am against the death penalty as an institution because the justice system is flawed and there is always the potential for an innocent man to be killed by the state and indeed it likely has happened. However, as long as the death penalty is an option, this case qualifies.
I was and am saddened by the Boston Marathon bombing. I am saddened too that any state thinks itself righteous enough to kill someone thought to violate its laws. We are the state.
If the state is not righteous enough to kill a man, what the fuck is the difference then to take a man and lock him in a 7 by 10 concrete box with no view of the world 23 hours a day, and one view of the sky once a day (from within a cage, while wearing shackles) for the entire rest of his life.
All you fucktard morons that think killing this piece of shit is cruel have apparently never sat in a fucking jail cell, and never considered how *truly* cruel it is to put a person in super-max for the rest of his life.
In truth, killing this peice of shit is the kindest outcome, given his choices.
But....such thoughts never occur to the dim-witted bleeding hearts who are more concerned with the sound of their own voice, than they are with the truth of anything that comes out of it.
Killing someone is wrong because it's the exact thing this man who did a horrible thing was convicted for; it's even worse (I recommend to krellin to read the first 100 pages of "The Idiot" from Dostojevski) Another reason not to kill this man is that apart from killing who he is, you also kill who he might be. Let the man live his life in jail for 40, 50 years. Let him realize what he has done and make him change. Give him the opportunity to do something good in his life. Killing a man is easy, changing him is not. But it's far more durable as it will not only change him, but also those who might become him.
Put him in a box for 50 years and let him realise what he's done? I wouldn't subject my worst enemy to such a fate! Anyone who reaches a state where they can fully appreciate what they've done and show remorse as a normal human might do would be subjected to mental torture for the rest of their lives.
The state executing someone for a crime, as ca form of punishment is not at all equal to seeing a bomb off in public. Good lord you fucking simple minded children are morally reprehensible.
You still haven't acknowledged the fact that none of us think Tsarnaev is a "victim," and I clearly pointed out that I never said that. It's very hard to even try to read anything else you say when you aren't arguing with us, but with a vague caricature who represents the worst of an ideology (leftism) I myself also reject.
I know it's a waste of time to talk to Krellin, it's just that this is such a ridiculous misunderstanding. He has to believe at least some of the stuff he says, right? And there has to be some form of a functioning human in there, right? Honestly, his views aren't extreme enough to dismiss it as pure trolling. Lots of reasonable people believe similar things, at least where I come from (a particularly red part of a red state).
So just to be clear, solitary confinement with crap food, little or no sunlight, no outside contact EVER, letting him die after decades in a cramped cell is better than an injection?
"In truth, killing this peice of shit is the kindest outcome, given his choices." I agree. In fact, that's part of my most common argument AGAINST the death penalty. Because I say Tsarnaev got off too easy here. He doesn't deserve our sympathy.
I just don't want the government, be it those who make the law or those who enforce the law (courts), in a position to decide morality or to have the power to kill someone.
And also, as I said before, sometimes they make mistakes--"they" being the legal system, NOT shitbags like Tsarnaev.
Lying about what? If there's any evidence of them lying, they could be prosecuted for obstruction of justice. Ditto if they're aware of one of their witnesses lying and them not informing the judge.
An Ancient Mediterranean Game, looking for players.
I would like to start a game in the Ancient Mediterranean. There will be messaging and press, and maybe anonymous players. This game will have normal turn lengths (1 day) and may or may not be password protected. Would anyone be interested in this?

You all heard the news before. I asked people not to forget, so I'm reminding people today again. There was a second quake this morning of similar magnitude (7.3), killing many, but more importantly right now, people are forced to live communally outdoors as the monsoon season approaches.
