Well, it seems like republicans are the only ones standing up for Christianity and its morals. I think what you are mistaking is socialism and charity. It isn't against anti-conservative to give to charity. I believe that the teachings of responsibility, freedom, and family values are far more Christian than the democrats values of do what ever you want and take no responsibility for your actions.

It seems to me at least to be anti-Christian however to advocate policies that will have the direct and foreseeable consequence of making the wealthy wealthier and the poor poorer, however. Charity doesn't seem a very reliable substitute for systemic justice.
