@krellin +bunches. - Yes, ther is a fifference between the inerrant Word and the literal interpretation of the word. The literal interpretation is the assumption that the Bible is 100% factual. But the truth is to be found within, even if some of the facts are incorrect.
Now when I read "Word" (as in Word of God, i.e. Bible) I keep thinking Microsoft Word.

@Vaft - I always had an issue with and debated whether or not Christ had free will, because he "could not sin"...because he was subjected to His God nature, kind of sounds like "did not have free will". But if you look up the definition of sin and temptation as provided in scripture, it looks like He could. But...it's an "eternal" being you are talking about -- so, cop out though it is -- it is not possible to comprehend all aspects of God...So you either believe it or not. I know...I know...

Can you comprehend an infinite amount of pennies? Neither can I. Nor can I comprehend God. That is why we have "faith" and not "full knowledge". We can have limited knowledge of God - that which He reveals to us...but you can not have full knowledge.
fuzzyhartle1 (100 D)

Well said krellin. How I understand it is Jesus was100% God and 100% Human.

@fuzzy -- I don't think Draug is discrediting your church. he is challenging you to understand what you are saying. YOU made some rather absolute statements previously...THIS is a proclamation of knowledge (when you make absolute statements)....You must be *careful* when using language, trust me.

People make erroneous absolutes on this site all the time, and if you try to stretch their brain by logically applying their absolute statements to the end, they don't understand and get pissed.

yes I know that. Did you understand my statement's sense you have a good Bible knowledge? Also he did because he said my way was wrong or implied it. haha no PE. Swag is for boys. Class is for Men

Who's parting gift's?
krellin (80 DX)
17 Apr 12 UTC
Good God (huh...) Jesus's parting gifts...swag...gifts...parting...cross...gift...get with it, boy!

@fuzzy - did I understand your 100% statement? Yes, it's metaphysically doctrinally correctly. It's complete nonsense to the unsaved and makes no sense to the saved. Doesn't mean it isn't true.

And I think you need to reread what Draug wrote, first removing the emotion from yourself, and then consider his viewpoint, and the manner in which he is trying to *improve*you by challenging you intellectually - he wants you to be able to back up your answers with proper logic and documented proof.
Draugnar (0 DX)

@fuzzy - krellin gets me well. I don't take issue with *any* Christian faith. Although there are a couple JWs come by my door on the weekend early in the morning I'd like to... Well nevermind... I don't take issue with anyone or any church who wants to take the entire Bible literally. We are all God's children and he is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to Him through Christ. But I do take issue with any chruch or person who teaches that someone who *doesn't* take the Bible literally in all parts is not a true Christian. That is hypocrisy of the highest order. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and each person is called to Christ in his own way and in His time.

I did but he wouldn't let go of the Mathew 24 that i said. He still hasn't answered my question were it says that we shouldn't evangelize. i was calm the whole time, mostly tired, but I don't care anymore he wouldn't back up his claim still.
fuzzyhartle1 (100 D)
17 Apr 12 UTC
Draugnar. JW's are not even considered a part of Christianity to me. Well I made the assumption based on the first thing you said. Jackbutt is a better alternative than saying the swear word. But I am saying you weren't a true christian based on the fact you said the bible is to be false in some areas and you don't believe the first chapter. I'm not close minded so I will respect your belief and agree that the Bible is to be taken serious and that JW's are an insult to Christianity
Vaftrudner (2533 D)
17 Apr 12 UTC
krellin, fair enough, but it is a bit of a cop out :) If we assume that God created us with intellect, and that there is absolute good and truth in Him, it seems mandatory to me to use the gifts He gave us to explore the divine mystery.

And yes, I can comprehend an infinite amount of pennies, because I've taken a lot of math and trained my brain in understanding counterintuitive amounts (such as imaginary numbers, that are completely abstract but do pop up everywhere in the behaviour of nature). I think a Christian mystic would argue that the same is possible through meditation, prayer and deeds for understanding the divine. I like mystics.

On that subject - would you say that man has the ability to live without sin in this world?
fuzzyhartle1 (100 D)
17 Apr 12 UTC
My church it is a brain twister on living without sin becuase it surely is possible and a fully functioning adult because you are not sinning every ten seconds. but it would be the hardest thing possible.
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Apr 12 UTC
@fuzzy - Bullshit! I answered that and said we *should*. I said that there are evangelists in it for the *wrong reasons*! Jesus fucking Christ, you can't read either!
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Apr 12 UTC
"For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" - in other words. One cannot live completely without sin. To desire another's possessions, even for a moment, is envy and is a sin. To look upon a woman with lust, for even a moment, is to have commited adultry already. Everyone will sin as sin is in thought, not just word and deed.
fuzzyhartle1 (100 D)
17 Apr 12 UTC
you didn't make that clear tho and that is not what i was asking. i asked a YES or NO question. I agree there are some into it for the wrong reason but not all. You need to calm your self because you shouldn't be swearing. Don't say that the bible doesn't say you cant swear because if it doesn't say you cant then show me were it say's you can.
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Apr 12 UTC
@fuzzy - I never said the Bible wads false. Those were your words put in my mouth. I said the Bible was not to be taken literally in all parts. If you declare anyone who believes that to not be a Christian, then you are passing judgment and in violation of Jesus' techings to first remove the beam from thine own eye.

Seriously, dude, when you grow in Christ, you will find the error in your present understanding, but you must be wiling to grow in Him.
fuzzyhartle1 (100 D)
17 Apr 12 UTC
Yes but you are not constantly sinning. there is a break from sin at some point. As I said it would be the hardest thing to ever do. Plus you need to be a fully functioning adult to not sin. But it is possible but at the same time impossible.

Draugnar I guess everyone is not as perfect as you are. I'm not Judging, i'm pointing it out. You have to have faith in the whole bible. In my opinion and my church's but it is my words to say that if you don't then you are not fully. Also i never said i'm perfect and i am willing to grow in my lord. i never said im not willing to. You also implied that you didn't believe in all of the bible.

"There is a break from sin at some point" WARNING WARNING....ugh....stop making these statements, dude!!! If you make a statement, back it up with scripture (www.blueletterbible.org) If you can't find support for what you say, stop saying it. Every post you stray farther from truth.

@fuzzy - I'm an adult. I'm a former Marine. Swear words are a second language to me. Fuck, bullshit, cunt, and the like are just words. They didn't even exist when the Bible was written as English didn't exist then. The OT was primarily in Hebrew and the NT in Greek (and potentially some Latin).

You want a yes or no? Yes, we are to go into the world and recruit through evangelism. I never denied that. I denied specific examples of it as being legitimate because they aren't. But *YES* (read it again,!) *YES* we are to go out and show the world the embodiment of Christ within our lives through the Holy Spirit.
krellin (80 DX)
17 Apr 12 UTC
Fuzzy -- why do you keep suggesting that Draug does not believe the whole Bible? Where does he say this that you keep making this false accusation?
fuzzyhartle1 (100 D)
17 Apr 12 UTC
krellin its not scripture. you aren't sinning every second of your life when you re alone laying in bed when you first woke up. well at least i'm not thinking anything bad.
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Apr 12 UTC
@fuzzy - It is possible to not sin for a time. But the question was is it possible to live your life (this implies your entire life) without sin. Even if we grant it as meaning from the moment you accept Christ, the answer is still no. You will eventually sin in your heart, at some point. When you see the neighbor's getting an addition on their house or pulling in with a new BMW... envy will hit for the briefest moment and you *will* have sinned.
krellin (80 DX)

"Jackbutt is a better alternative than saying the swear word." If it is said with malice in the heart, it is a swear word to you. Hypocrisy...

And I have faith in the whole Bible. I just don't follow that the whole Bible is fact. It is all truth, but it isn't all fact. Therefore it is to be taken seriously, but not literally. Again, quit putting words in my mouth.

So after all this, I must ask (especially as you said you started posting at @ AM when it was Midnight Eastern Time), what part of the world are you in? timezone wise puts you out of the US. Perhaps it is a language barrier we are dealing with.

ok im behind you guys now. you are far ahead of me. I'm not accusing him i'm pointing things out that he implied it. implied means an unsaid meaning. example: I want to hangout, implied that they want to do something fun. Draugnar thank you you answered my question. next time you accuse people like you did don't group everyone with those people. i never made a sex joke on one thing and claimed i'm christian on another. In your guys words "all fall short of the glory of God" so you don't have a right to judge other's. I will also find scripture to support all of my point's next time. I think this can end now. it has gone on long enough.

Why does Germany go to Sweden in Fall '01 so often?
I can understand moving to Denmark in spring to keep the threat alive as diplomatic leverage, but by moving to Sweden right away, Germany angers Russia. Germany's usually going to be able to take Sweden away when he chooses anyway if Russia doesn't open strong to Scandinavia, so why are people so eager to make an enemy right off the bat?
