being neutral good or bad?
i tend to fear neutral powers because they could pretty easily decide to throw all their units in your flank/rear, but attacking gives you another enemy which is normally not good either...
for that reason, isn't being neutral yourself the best position?
if so, how far should you go? start out taking tunis and then waiting with italy?
is this also possible for other players? England maybe?

Singapore, where I went right after the Michael Fay case was a big media sensation. I was on study abroad, and one of our professors was the head of Michigan State's criminal justice department, so the police/court system were already on the agenda. They tried so hard to butter us up to get a better reputation in the US, it was pretty awesome.

Then I got dysentary. Not awesome.

"@Fasces - Respect dude! My travels outside the US have been all northern and central European or Central/Spouth American and Canada. I really want to hit Africa, Turkey & the Med, Australia/New Zealand, and Asia & Japan. Italy and Greece are on our plans for our 25th anniversary."
Your missing a lot, when it comes to tourism North America is a pretty weak continent (I am fortunate enough to live in a family that travels alot and we have lived in both Europe and Africa as well as were we currently live (Canada). And yeah, Tanzinia and Kenya (two countries I lived in while living in Africa) were pretty cool countries to live in. Good memories there, but given that I had never used a computer or watched cartoons before I was 10 years old seems pretty strange in todays world, especially given that by 10 years old I mean September 2004.
Edinburgh.
Forget the castle, the royal mile or the festival, i fetched up in the water after a very messy end to the edinburgh derby one early morning. Couldnt even tell you who won.

"when it comes to tourism North America is a pretty weak continent"

Hardly weak at all. Let's start with a few local to me - NYC, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, the Adirondack Mtns, Montreal, Toronto, Cape Cod, Newport RI, just to name a few world-class tourist destinations. Just because tourist spots are a little more spread out doesn't mean it's a weak continent by any means. American destinations alone can stand toe to toe with anything European for a fraction of the price.

Oh, and Rutland, VT.

Yeah, fasces, that's pretty indefensible. 2nd didn't even mention the Grand Canyon, the rockies, the Sonoran desert, the Pacific, the cascades, Yosemite, San Francisco, Alaska, etc., etc.

"where did you live in africa, what for, what did you think of it"
I lived in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania. But went to a boarding school in Kenya (the same one my dad went to growing up when is parents lived in Kenya). As for why we were they, I was 4 years old when we moved there in 1998, it wasn't my choice, but my parents.

I enjoyed Africa, weather was always nice, we lived on the beach so nice access to swimming, we went on safari's a lot and saw a lot of cool stuff, we've been attacked by a hyena (believe it or not it was my younger sisters scream that scared it off, lol), elephants (flipped a car once, luckily not our car but a friends, another time it was interested in our camp fire cause there was some elephant bones nearby, we just had to stay silent until it left), and baboons.

Our house was infected with a black mamba (second most poisonous snake in the world iirc) twice.

In other words it was a miracle that we all escaped alive and unharmed, well thats not completely true, mother got blinded with she was infected with malaria, it was actually her loss of sight that caused us to move back to Canada.

Supposed to be the safest big city in America. It is nothing but a conglomeration of cookie-cutter houses and condos on postage-stamp lots and high rise office towers with expensive parking. Safe, yes - but a more soulless city I have yet to come across.

New London, Connecticut.

I got to walk through downtown New London one time in February of 2008. First time I'd seen one of those old-school New England cities. It was fascinating - like I'd slipped backwards in time to the 18th Century if I pretended there were no cars. I took a ton of pictures but some jackass stole my laptop shortly thereafter, so those pictures (and pictures from dozens of other cities I worked in that winter) are gone forever :-( .

The drive from Connecticut to Maine a few days later with all the snow-covered trees was perhaps the most beautiful scenery I'd ever seen. Certainly can't see anything like it in Southern California.

Stalemates. Working together produces a benefit for all players, whereas being greedy and playing for the win, as opposed to the stalemate, benefits one (WTA assumed). Needless to say, lots of webdippers would be bought and sold in prison.

gameID=79720 Nice game, everyone. It was 'Let's All Kill Russia' early on, but I managed to survive until things changed. Austria, I thought you're attack on me after we resolved Turkey was slightly unnecessary, I wanted to continue forward from there to meet oncoming E/F, I think it would have been a 4-way if that had happened. Well played, England, France, nice co-operation. Hope to run into all of you again. Cheers.

Yes, I'm making this public. You are reversing a decision made by abgemacht. Everyone *knew* I only agreed to pause through Wednesday. Abgemacht already researched it and told me to *remind* him to unpause. This is *twice* you've fucked with a game I was in. Do what was promised and *stop* fucking with my games.
