For those who aren't totally clear on this, this thread is not creating its own tournament. The Tournament thread is here, http://webdiplomacy.net/forum.php?viewthread=814769#814769 with a description of the tournament rules right at the beginning. None of the players posting here have any say to change the rules. We are just making a thread for Canadian teams. I'm sure that you've seen various other groups (Mid-Atlantic USA, Texas, US Capital region, England (UK) etc.) making threads for their own teams. This is like that. The games WILL be 36 hour phases so if you can't do that, I'm sorry, but you can't do this tournament.

I got stuck as Western Canada's Public Press player. Does anyone have any advice on playing public press? Particularly Geofram or TBroadly, the other Canadian Public Press players?

@gman: I'm not an experienced public press player, having only played three games. My one piece of advice is talk *constantly*. That's what everyone else will be doing, and if you don't present yourself as communicative, your neighbours will gang up on you. (Unless one of them decides to make you his bitch, so that he can take out the other, more talkative one. I don't know which situation's worse.)
