I just took a look at the list and holly shit. Theghostmaker thank you for doing all of that work, even if it is computerized it must have taken forever to establish.

Well, I finally looked at where I was. Turns out the bug had given me nearly 60 points and 184 positions. I dropped like a stone.

I'm willing to bet I took the biggest hit, since our live games were WTA draws, and I had a lot of those. Anyone took a bigger hit?

i lost 39 points, and went from 72 to 110 in position.

but i was in every one of those live games with you jbalcorn, wasn't i? i guess i had another game or two to offset them maybe?

159? I feel as if I'm much worse than players I'm ranked far above. Odd. I suppose them results is them results, though.

That is really interesting. That must be so hard to do. On one hand you can counter players moves by thinking "what would I do" or "what would be the optimum" move, but then you know the other player knows that to. Also sometimes we plan for a genius move from our opponent and they then play something dumb. It must be a tremendous skill to correctly intuit the thought processes of a particular player.

Though I've now played both rait and MM once each, I must admit rait's performance was much less impressive than advertised. MM on the other hand is one hell of a player and diplomat, and I must say our relationship in that game (while it lasted) was one of the best dip relationships of my life. (Don't know if he feels the same way since I stabbed him =P)

Meanwhile, I do look forward to another opportunity to play rait.

Maybe another set of "Ghost-rating challange" games? Any of the top 50 players up for it?

hmmm... Stripy, that's a bug... My guess is that it should be 15...

I haven't played with Rait in a while, and I don't believe I've ever played with MM (we should fix this!). I think Rait hit his peak like a year or more ago, at least in terms of Ghost Rating, and perhaps spends less time and effort here than before. I'll be waiting for his second wind though.

I think he probably hit it before Jan Last Year.

i'd love to play in that game, chrisp! w/ you, MM, and Rait and some other folks. maybe babak? (i'm not in top 50 tho...) and maybe jacob, i'd quite like to play with him.

Well thanks to the Ghost's adjustment I've been blown further away from that damn top 50. Should be a game to watch of course.

why watch it, centurian? you should be in it too! an opp'ty to regain some footing...?

Damn you, Chrispy, I was planning to pull a Brett Favre and "retire" for a few months, possibly until late fall... but I have trouble resisting a good game of diplomacy...

I'd prefer to play with Rait and not Babak, they were both in the GhostRating Challenge Game One game and I think three people from that game would be too many for this new game... I worked more closely with Babak while Rait got triple or quadruple teamed from the start and didn't have much of a chance, so in the name of keeping things fresh/new, I'd vote for Rait, if Rait is interested...

MM, you can't do that- there's the leagues and the Masters still to come in September/October. Loads of great games and cut-throat diplomacy!

on the topic of wanting to play with specific people, i'd quite like to be in a game with you sometime soon, TGM.

Games with me got pretty exclusive with GFDT and Leagues. I intend to sign up for the masters, so if you meet the necessary conditions, or we both miss them and end up in a "Masters 2", should it happen, we would play. Alternatively, if you go up and I go down in the leagues, we have a position where we could play next season.
