I object to the next game being started without a fundamental reconsideration of the "standard" ruleset.

Seriously, starting the next game now is FAR too soon. A community debate, involving the "Council", is needed regarding several rules issues that arose in the last game.

It's premature to start a new game now.

And I have the utmost faith DemonOverlord would make a game with rules,that will make sense and a setup that is not controversial at all.

Much like we approved your method of dealing with non-participation, we've approved DO's. We're happy to let people experiment and see which way works best for increasing participation there.


Autohammer is a feature on Mafia sites with longer days; and is utterly anathema to how Mafia is played on webDip. Making such a fundamental change wouldn't really keep with the culture of Mafia on webDip, and would make timezones a far bigger factor, too. As a result we do not agree on that being a solution.

My thinking is clear, thanks very much. The community has issues to discuss before the next game - there is no sense in rushing.

Mafiascum games are like 9-11 players. 20 player setups with auto end hammering is horrible. The gm would have to post vote counts every page

Not only that but some players on here like to vote early and post a real vote at or near EOD. Auto majority hammering would fundamentally change meta's

There are multiple rule issues that would benefit from a clear consistent stance. Participation rules, for example. DO has stated that she wants to allow lurking - even if people join and then never post, they will be rewarded. Do we want this?

Unfortunately, I had to leave the game because I was sick. I never finished reading it, but if D1 is any indication of how Jamie GMed the rest of the game then I don't want to read it lol. Pretty unheard of to have a GM just impose himself into a conversation with out a ##call.

I am going to take a break from mafia for a bit though so I am not signing up. I don't like having to use an outside app to check counts and I think that should be banned. GM needs to do that not some app.

Also a system and rules need to be in place to prevent GM's from engaging in conversations like Jamie did. That ruins the game really.
