Actually, if you checked out some of the stuff I posted you would note that THC works in the brain in a very similar way to Anandimide (effectively tricking your brain into thinking there isn't enough).

It should be noted that that increasing anadimide levels is something medical practitioners are studying as a way to help people deal with depression and anxiety (http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/Issues/2004/July/anandamide.asp)

The comparison of hitting yourself in the head and smoking weed is that they both disorder your thinking. With any drug, you're just giving yourself painless and hopefully-temporary brain damage. But painless and harmless are not the same thing, which is the only difference with the hammer comparison. You're scrambling your thinking.

THC is pharmacologically interesting and I would support *actual* medical marijuana research. But, I think you're one of those people who are pulling the wool over your own eyes when it comes to justifying recreational use through the fig leaf of medicine. No other drug is dispensed with so little control over dosage, with such casual labeling, as "medical" marijuana. It's a joke and you know it.

Sorry but your inquests didn't strike me as being anything other than another lecture about how I'm too argumentative. What is it that you actually want to know?

The discussion isn`t about medical marijuana - I referenced that marijuana replicates a different medical tactic. Interpret it however you will, I guess.

Regarding the withdrawal article - again this article is really cloudy. It has a sample of 46 people which truly isn`t very much. And the majority of the withdrawal symptoms appear to be things that are preexisting conditions that drive these users to smoke. Anxiety, Depression, Mood Swings, etc. are all reasons that people use marijuana and i would interpret this result as people begin to feel as they did before they started using marijuana. I conclude that weed smokers have trouble sleeping and maybe eating once they stop using the drug, which appears to be pretty minor as far as withdrawal and substantially less sever than caffeine.

Huffington may have a bias but anyone reporting on this doesn`t. However, they source medical practitioners, educators and academics whereas your side is supported by a single mortician.
