This may sound funny, but...
...what would you do if some players played helping you in a way more than suspicious?

I mean, suppose someone is basically letting you win by playing poorly. What would you do? Take the offer, or propose a draw?

No, Zmaj, Points were created by Kestas to allow experienced players to weed out newbs before passworded games were created. Kestas has stated he never intended them to be a real rating system.

And gunboat is not the boardgame Diplomacy. It is a variant bastard stepchild. Everyone knows real diplomacy is per the Creator himself (Allan Calhamer) and only the games that involve diploming in the verbal sense are Mr. Calhamer's Diplomacy.

Zmaj, points mean something, but not nearly as much as ghostrating or win/draw percentage, and neither of those mean anything next to reputation. I will gladly play with a lesser skilled player who has a reputation as a good player rather then a slightly more skilled player who has a reputation for screwing people over on CD's, refusing pauses, etc.

You know what I find funny is that one of the best players on the site used to create long join phase passworded anon games to hid his points in. Zmaj would then probably think he was a worthless player. I leanred to hid emy points the same way. Maybe someday ZMaj will come to realize that what he sees isn't but a shadow of reality as points put into an anon game aren't reflected in total or available points.

Although I had a setback with my laptop breaking, thus making me only play live gunboats, I'm brushing up on my full press again, and am amazing. Also, for someone who believes SD Is the best and that points mean everything, not win/draw or GR, why do you make such a point when you win against him? If points are all that matter, then wins don't, whoever you're against.

I am leaving the site
I just moved to Princeton and my life will be involved with study for the coming year. Therefore, I don't have the time to spend on diplomacy.

Everyone should have one, atheist or not...at least for work around the house...But not an OLD nun...young enough I can say "sister" without thinking "grandmother"...

Why are the only games i've seen for 2-3 days only 5 and 10 point games... i've had a 101 point standard game up for 2 days and no takers... it didn't used to be like this...
