1. Coughlin, Coach of the Year, for getting the NYG to 9-7 and just getting into the playoffs on the last day?
How about, I dunno...
JIM HARBAUGH--turned a 6-10 team that hadn't been to the playoffs in a decade into a 13-3 team and the #2 seed in the NFC...WHILE having most of the same players Singletary had the year before, so you can't chalk it up to new personnel on the field (hell, he did it with old gun Alex Smith, who'd been floundering under the previous two coaches, AND the "new personnel," Braylon Edwards, was hurt and released...hmmm...)
2. YES, Yellowjacket...Putin exists to be a buzzkill and to echo Groucho's old saying:
"WHATEVER IT IS, I'M AGAINST IT!"
Except, when Grouch said it...it was funny...and people actually cared.
3. I WILL, however, say, YJ, that while Rodgers is easily a Top 5 QB in the league, I do think Sunday shows that he's helped even more by the team...so yes, great QB--but he's not Elway on a team with no weapons guiding them, seemingly on his own, to Super Bowls, or Joe Montana, who won both with and without Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, John Taylor, and that 1980s 49ers offense dynasty.
So Rodgers is good...but he's not cracking any All-Time lists just yet...
After all, it's not like he's the greatest thing ever since cheese(heads), right? ;)
