Is this the highest stakes game played? Pot of 7000 . I notice three players have voted to draw already, how disappointing. This is one game I would like to see played to the death.
I have sent a message to the game mods about a no ingame messaging World XI game Im in days ago without reply - and I think its a clear case of either A) metagaming or B) Multi-account because the level of co-op without any supposed comms is unbelievable.
So far nothing at all from the mods - not even an acknowledgement of the mail - what should I do?

Suggest 1 TV show you think absolutely MUST be seen by others--and espeically those who are maybe in another country and not familiar with the show. The NEXT person who comes along must watch an episode of said show, and suggest one for the next person...and so on and so forth, until all shows ever to air on the Tube are watched by the WebDip community. :)
Well, i agree WTA is fun and is more like a board game but i guess once you have a s!@#load of points it doesnt bother you when you loose some but when you are barely over 100 and trying to fight your way up to the elite every point counts. And i know GR counts for more but points let you get into games. And HOW OLD ARE YOU Draugnar?
I've been playing since 1987, which isn't totally true...I played from 1987-1991 (my high school years) and then super sporadically until last year when I found playdiplomacy and then quickly abandoned it for here.
Gunboat experiences vary with the quality of the players and their own gunboat specific experience. The experience gunboater can communicate a lot with offer supports and specific moves. But if he is playing with a gunboat n00b, those tell-tale signs won't be read and he will get highly pissed.
Well, i know who you are Draug. And bringing me down again would be metagaming, basing that game on another, and i would report you to the mods ( and dont hiss at me mods, im talking hypotheticals here)

Oh, and I don't meta. If I knew who you were and you were convenient to my plans for total victory, I would use you until I needed your SCs, then I would take them from you and get my win. Just ask Hellalt how I do that. There is a league game from last season I'm sur ehe remembers well that I used and then abused him in. It got me my second win (out of 4 gameS) that season and locked up my spot as the winner of B1.
The first one who guesses who I am in PM without discussing it amongst yourselves gets 20 bucks. This offer expires when the current phase runs, however. The longer we go, the easier it becomes to recognize people.
I don't know if anyone is interested in studying or analyzing things like that, but I am. When I was first starting to play diplomacy (back in, oh, February?), I immersed myself in reading all about the strategies and theories that people had written articles on. Since discovering this site (back in, oh, last week?) I've really come to enjoy the Ancient Med variant.

We have a game which we all agreed to pause because 1 player needed. Now that he's back everyone but another player clicked unpause. Is there any way to conctact an admin so he can unpause the game?

My games are going south, so I have time for Forum jollies. I've had really good luck here soliciting ideas for TV shows to Netflix, so I'm trying to compile a list of interesting, oddball comic book titles that you've come across.
A Question, Doctor Who--And Sci-Fin In General--Fans:
The Terminator went back in time to kill Sarah and then John Connor. The Borg went back in time to stop First Contact and assimilate Earth. The Omega 13, for God's sake, allowed a do-over that let Tim Allen win. Why don't Doctor Who bad guys just travel back in time and kill him as a baby? (Also, wtf happened in this season finale...I'm STILL confused!) :p

Any other fans of the series interested in having a middle earth map for diplomacy? it is not on the to do list or planned at all, and i am just polling for thoughts on the topic. thoughts and ideas would be great, and if enough people want it then we can tell the mods and get it made, maybe.
