Anyone ever player Dip for real money?
Just curious. I play poker at the casinos an online all the time. I've also had small pot Dip home games, but the pot usually went to buy the pizza and beer when it was all said and done.

Supporting hold
I've noticed that very often two adjacent units will support into each others territories. The rules state that "A unit not ordered to move can be supported by a support order that only mentions its province". This seems to suggest that two adjacent allied units can both support the others hold, giving two provinces defending with a strength of two (barring support being cut).

Is this how it works?

How long do you hold a stalemate?
Curly's thread got me thinking. When you reach a stalemate position, how long do you normally hold it before moving on?
Although obviously each case is different, and it depends what sort of responses you're getting from the other players, personally I'd say that 3 years with no progress makes it time to think about drawing...

Problem...
I have this problem where when I try to do orders, message, or even go into any of my games, my internet just freezes up. This has only started happening recently and no other website does this. Any thoughts?

What are the consequences of Civil Disorder
One someone is in Civil Disorder, what happens?

Can they still issue orders if they return?
Does the game wait until the full phase ends to see if they do enter orders or are they assumed to have finalized holds as soon as the phase opened?

need a 7th-- somebody got kicked out
Need a 7th for Star Sign Wars. Somebody got booted from the game for multi-accounting. It'd be a shame to have Turkey controlled by a bot, because Russia isn't paying much attention, either... sound tempting?

Help from moderator needed
Dear Kesta, this game is a victim of the previous bug. The Unit placing round of 1905 is skipped, and everything is skewed afterwards.

"Hm. Well, okay then. Maybe our play-styles are different. I know I have little problems dealing with vehicles in Halo."

I agree. If you're experienced(not quite like me:P), the advantage of a vehicle dissapates very quickly, and getting into something like a Banshee can spell certain doom.

Its all about leaning the right formulae to react with.

Oh, and as for the game in question, I can't say much as I haven't played too much of it, but CoD: WaW is possibly the best looking shooter I have ever seen.

And Multiplayer aside, I thought they did a pretty good job with the story too, all things considered.
Lord Alex (169 D)

Yeah, vehicles are not too powerful in COD:WAW since a lot of the classes have either bazookas or satchel charges
Lord Alex (169 D)

In Nazi Zombie mode, my friend and I have gotten up to round 15, with only the two of us playing on splitscreen!
afreemason04 (0 DX)
05 Jan 09 UTC
yea. I usually prefer keeping some distance in between me and my opponent. It's probably why i would have trouble with vehicles as opposed to those who favored close-quarters. I had to change my tactics in Cod4 and WaW because distance isn't as much of an advantage as it is in Halo

Yeah. That was fun!
I got the Ray gun from the help room!!!! I Also was a fucker and opened it after level 2. Then we both got ray guns and I had a Deployable FG42. OMG...amazing.

I got to round 25 with a rando online. We both ended up with flamethrowers and ray guns. I got bored after that though because there was no end in sight and I had to go so I quit. The other poor guy probably got massacred after.
Commodore64 (0 DX)

FG42 and Ray Gun or Ray Gun and Trench Gun are the best combos. They are so effective....
Lord Alex (169 D)
06 Jan 09 UTC
It seems like flamethrowers take too long to kill the zombies, especially if it is just one at a time.
Lord Alex (169 D)
06 Jan 09 UTC
Scoed weapons are really useless as well
cgwhite32 (1465 D)
06 Jan 09 UTC
Yes, unless you are playing with 4 players, and leave one to scope shoot up front on each level. Also, they kill in one shot, unlike some of the submachine guns.

I have to say the Ray Gun plus either FG 42 or Trench gun appear to be best. Flame thrower is ok on levels 5-10, but hopeless afterwards. Although every kill with the flamethrower is a headshot, so more points!

Level 25 is pretty good - I only got to 15 before being overwhelmed - any tips?
Lord Alex (169 D)
07 Jan 09 UTC
It seems like the most common strategy is: Rounds 1-5 Stay in first room, buy M1 Carbine, Rounds 6-15 Go to help room, use random weapon box, then finally rounds 16- infinity Go upstairs to corner with grenades and constantly buy them and throw at zombies
Chrispminis (916 D)
07 Jan 09 UTC
Hmm... to get to 25 I actually ended upstairs above the second main floor room. One of us covered the one window behind us and assisted the other when they weren't busy. Otherwise it wasn't too hard to hold the line, buying grenades when possible.

It's boring but if you can you should try to leave a crawling zombie alive so you can gamble weapons with impunity.

The more dangerous parts were going for max ammo pickups.
cgwhite32 (1465 D)
07 Jan 09 UTC
Interesting. I'd gone for the help room as you suggested, then gone upstairs to retreat into the main room (where you can access from downstairs straight away and where the grenades are). This way, there are only two entrances - the window next to the stairs, and the door through to the BAR and trenchgun room. I guess I need to get a little better at killing the zombies!
spartan492 (381 D)
07 Jan 09 UTC
The upstairs inNazi Zombie mode has 6 windows plus whatever staircase you open up.

I got to level 42 with a 4 person party. Our strategy was:
Levels 1-6, remain in the starting room using the M1 or Kar98 depending on preferences.
Levels 6-15, move into the help room and hold using either double barrelled shotty or Thompson, only use the random box every so often and make sure to keep the shooty asnd swap out the secondry wep.
After level 15, open upstairs through the main room (leaving the help room stairs blocked) everyone grabs a trench gun and grenades. 1 person guards the stairs and the window next to them, 1 person guards the window at the very back of the upstairs section. The remaining 2 people alternate between helping guard the stairs (when the other guy needs to reload) and guarding the 2 winsows next to the trenchgun spwan.

I meant the room with the grenades. If you don't open up the staircase in that room, and only the other, you just have one window by the unopened staircase, and the door into the second part of the upstairs. Should be good enough to defend?

Spartan - level 42 is very impressive! Is there any way that I could perhaps join you and Chrisp in a 'diplomacy' survival game? :)

Lord Alex, fancy trying to join in a four way group - you, me, Chrisp and Spartan this weekend? Is there any way we can do it - it's my brothers PS3, but I'm sure we can do it... :)

Molotov cocktails aren't very useful in later levels though.

So, new idea for a variant. Yet again, I'd have to wait to actually play it here until I get some points. Maybe I'll just stop fighting Babak in that one game and let him get to 18 so I can cash in. ;-)
