Rules for webdip simulator
1) Players are encouraged to participate, discuss and strategize ways to grow their colony. Players get a unique role, and each phase make proposals how to improve things.
2) Events each phase are determined at random on a scale of degree of difficulty. The game is intended to be challenging, fun, and engaging. The GM will not rig the game to be more difficult, however as populations grow, and crisis can come into play; a colonial collapse is always possible.
3) to vote for legislation each councillor may propose an idea and say ##Proposal 1.0 followed by the content. For any proposal to be considered it must be seconded. To vote for a proposal you say ##Vote Yes on 1.0 - or if you are against it say ##Vote No on 1.0. Votes will be tallied throughout the phase.
4) Phases adjudicate every 48 hours at 3pm CDT. If no legislation is submitted and no votes received, the phase will adjudicate accordingly.
5) Managing your Requisites
You lose the game if you run out of food, if your people lose all morale, if you run out of money, if you run out of fuel or if public health runs out. Each phase your population consumes an amount of food equal to itself. 3 population eats 3 food. 5 eats 5. If you have 3 population and 2 food, the population will starve and the colony will begin to collapse.
6) There is no win condition. You play for as long as you can. However it is possible to create a colony that stands the test of time and is succesful.
7) Opting out. Any time you need to quit simply PM the GM and let them know.
8) Opting in. See above.
9) Cheating: it is impossible to cheat. You can choose to work against the colony but they can choose to simply have you banished or executed.
10) If you are forum silenced you may not participate.
11) Please use the same conduct you would in any normal forum discussion while playing.
12) role playing is welcome and not required. You can name your character and do anything you want with them. You can marry other players and have children if you really want to. You can even mate with aliens. Totally yer call.
13) Use your imagination. The GM will work with whatever ideas you want to add to the game. Nothing is out of the question. Incorporate ideas from your favorite sci fi shows, movies, video games and board games if you want. Anything can be incorporated as this is your colony.
