I find it difficult to imagine one can effectively scumhunt if they are reserving ideas and opinions just in case they turn later on. Therefore each of us should play as if you will never turn, in order to provide us with the clearest information.

@Masons and Cultists: Yo, would you mind specifically not masoning or culting people who "are free agents". It's counter to the spirit of the game, and really, you probably don't want them on your side, since they must either keep up the facade the entire game or make it very obvious they were converted to your side when they stop the "free agent" stuff. Also, due to this ##votebrainbomb.

Play like you are what you are until you arent. A smart VM is inviting visits for a reason beyond what theyd turn too. ;)

Yeah. There's no point playing suboptimally in case you are turned, because then if you're not then you just screw yourself over. And if you aren't playing as hard as you can, then you might get lynched for that too. Mr. Asimov has the right idea.

I have never done a game like this before, I feel like a newcomer.
I was going to ask for alliances that agree to recruit the other members in it to the winning faction, but I guess that goes against rule 7. lol

Alliances sound cool to me. And I don't see how they violate any rule.

Alliances are already established, we just don't know who we're allied with.

True, I guess it doesn't violate any rule because we'll still be trying to win for our current faction until recruited. It's just sort of increasing our odds of playing for the winning team. :)

If the team we're on is losing, we try to avoid having the other recruited.
If the team we're on is winning, we try get the other recruited.

For people who are hesitant to hop on with the strategy to hammer lynch the last to post: this has a significant advantage of keeping you safe. Lots of different agendas regarding who wants who to die, but the one thing we can all agree on is that we don't want to be lynched ourselves. If a majority adopts this strategy, each member of that majority is safe from the D1 lynch. That's a lot better than leaving your fate to an odd vote among various factions with various criteria.

I don't know what this game is, but it certainly doesn't feel like mafia.

I think the game will get better after this first odd day phase. There is really very little to discuss today. 9 of 19 players have almost no preference regarding who is lynched today, and the other 10 can't really make coherent arguments without giving their roles away. Someone has to be lynched, and we all don't want it to be us. Why not just hammer last to post, and move this along?

People that say there is little to discuss on the first day catch my eye right off the bat because, even if there is little to discuss on the first day, there is plenty to be learned about the first day later. We're looking at a gang of people who don't know who everyone else is, but then there are three who have more knowledge than the rest of us. That's what we look for. Day 1 is the best day where you can look back and see that kind of thing.

I am reserving my official vote til everyone has had a chance to speak.

i don't like this setup, i don't even know what to base a vote on, what does it even mean to sound scummy right now? the minority group doesn't even know each other so they wouldn't try to push a wagon like if the minority team knows each other. and that doesn't even consider the cultists. bleh.
