Special Rules Game: A center is randomly selected (through chance) at the start of the game. Whoever controls it a decade later (Fall 1910) wins. If you solo before then, you win as well. Draws are not allowed. There will always be one winner and 6 losers. Standard Map, 36 hour phases, WTA. 1. steephie22
I know that when you click save instead of ready, you get a gray check. But if time runs out before you click ready, are your saved moves inputed or do you have no moves for that turn?
Colorblindness update and live game display option
Colorblind options are now live. Live game display option is also live. Both settings can be changed under "settings." Much thanks to ATC and the dev team, including thorfi, Kestas, and Oli. ATC will also push out the auto update fix for the colorblind option soon. You might have to manually update your map to see the change at the moment. Please thank them for the work they do and let us know how much you enjoy these updates!
Krystle Marie Campbell (29), Lu Lingzi (23), Martin William Richard (8), and Sean A. Collier (27). Not to mention the 264 other injured people. The bomber does not deserve to have his name remembered by society, they do.
To fill out a locked game. Full disclosure several of us have played multiple games together, and some know one another personally, but we all leave that at the door and play to win. gameID=160620 Ppsc, full press, non anon, 1901
An Ancient Mediterranean Game, looking for players.
I would like to start a game in the Ancient Mediterranean. There will be messaging and press, and maybe anonymous players. This game will have normal turn lengths (1 day) and may or may not be password protected. Would anyone be interested in this?
I took 8 AP classes and used 7 of the credits as transfers, but I had to retake a few classes to get into a special cohort program, so right now I'm 5 ahead.
AP classes are pretty sweet. I wish my school had offered more of the interesting ones. I took AP US History, AP Psychology, and AP Physics. I wish they had offered AP European History or AP Computer Programming.
US History was much better than European History. Because we had to cover more time in Euro, we didn't get quite as much depth. Plus living in America US History is more relevant. And at my school APUSH has better teachers :)
My school offers most of the AP tests, depending on student interest in actually taking classes. There won't be an AP Human Geography test next year because there aren't enough people who signed up for the class. And I'm really glad we just barely made it on Euro. I've been looking forward to that class since 8th grade. It's typically popular, but for some reason we're just barely making it to the minimum. I'll probably have 14 tests done by the end of senior year. And yeah, I hated the World test. APUSH test looks to be a breeze, though. Calc will be a bitch, and I'll only make through on Comparative Gov as of recently. Lang will be my worst this year.
Prado I'm surprised that Lang will be your toughest; compared to many of the others it seems like a breeze. APUSH had a lot of content, and although it wasn't particularly difficult I thought it was one of the harder tests I've taken. I'm planning to take Lang this year, and it seems like it should be one of the easier AP tests. Not too much content, and the texts are much more straightforward than Lit. In my experience though the AP sciences classes trump all others in difficulty. Chem was my first test ever, and was an absolute nightmare. Biology wasn't that hard but there was a lot of content to cover. I'm taking Physics C this year, and while mechanics are straightforward E & M is anything but.
Haha, too late for that, bo. The first of those I took last year and got a 3. But, yeah, it would be really helpful. I'm not taking ant science AP tests. That's just not me. I finished the minimum science credits required by the state to graduate last year and am just done. Social studies are by far my strong suit, so I feel confident in those. Whereas I don't feel prepared for the Lang test. And I'm definitely not taking the Lit test next year.
@TrPrado if you talk to your counselor, you can self-study for APs and your school can order the test specifically for you if they don't offer the course. Or you go a nearby school, I forgot the specific accommodations but I'm sure it varies case-by-case. But that's how you have the crazy psychopaths on CollegeConfidential with 18+ APs. Lol some of them are good friends of mine. I wouldnt recommend it, but it's an option if you're going for the jugular with AP exams.
Also: Calc isn't as bad as you think, the curve is pretty nice.
I self-studied for four APs. They didn't have as many subjects when I was in high school as they do now. I ended up with enough credits to skip an entire year of college. When I was 2.5 years in and looking graduation in the face, I thought WTF am I doing, what's the rush? And I stayed four years anyway.
You're wasting a lot of the free time you should be spending on the best years of your life. The same classes you would take in college will be much easier than the AP classes you're busting your ass for now.
Guy, you really never stop doing tests/exams; you just have to live with it and not to let them dominate your life. I finished 'normal education' at the age of 24; continued taking CPD in three different careers, so had further exams at 28, 34, 40 and 61...but they shouldn't define you!
@Tolstoy I though college years were the best years of our life, in which case I am saving the best years. I'll have 6 APs by the time I graduate HS, enough to take a full semester off from school. I'm considering doing some kind of exploring myself kind of thing during my sophmore year in college.
Contrary to the idea given off by the amount of tests I'm taking, I do have a life. It's just that I'm a savage procrastinator. And I'm most definitely not going to take tests I've taken the curriculum for in the year or requesting to take them at a different school. I don't study, and my school offers a much more wide variety of AP courses than just about all the schools around here.
Looking back, there's not a single AP class I regret taking. Although some were a major pain, I know I learned a lot from every one. Tolstoy says they are unnecessary and waste time, but I think the biggest waste of time is sitting in general classes learning nothing. There's plenty of work but I have free time on the weekends.
I have a life, and I know many people that have a higher social life than myself who take a lot of AP classes. I mean, I 'm on here talking to you people.

You all heard the news before. I asked people not to forget, so I'm reminding people today again. There was a second quake this morning of similar magnitude (7.3), killing many, but more importantly right now, people are forced to live communally outdoors as the monsoon season approaches.
