OSC is an average writer that has some decent ideas, but pretty consistently fails to bring any real *zing* to the stories, kind of in the same way that Michael Chrichton wrote a lot of books with interesting idea (mad a lot of movies from them), and had moments of great appeal in his writing, but for the most part just pumped out books for the masses, written at a level the masses could absorb.

I wonder if he did home movies. Me, and probably the FBI, would love to see those... 0_o
