It was brainbomb in the end that noone was on to. (except for ND but he only drew that conclusion because he thought BB was linked to me). If I ever was lynched it wouldve towncleared BB pretty much as well, hence his sneaky little play.

Given how bad the mafia situation was when krellin joined (he actually joined the scumteam *after* xorxes was lynched, with Warden having a guilty report on him still), he pretty much turned it around for them. If he'd joined the town, especially if he'd joined as bomb, then I'm pretty sure that town would've won from that position. krellin joining scum and managing to keep himself and brainbomb from being read as a team, without getting either of them lynched, was pretty impressive.

Well, it was an equaliser after all, rather than the catalyst it was accused of being ;). It took the team that was doing worse (despite having killed PR's every night for the first four nights, with the other PR having been lynched) and gave them a chance to win. Ironic, really.

Well, that was because the town were hopeless and leaderless. The mafia's efficient killing of all the PR's was the main cause of that. If krellin had picked bomb, then I do think it would've been a town win, but if he'd picked any other town role then I think it'd have still been fairly close. This is the first game in a while that the Mafia have actually managed to really get rid of the town PR's - most games recently have had a lot of town PR's surviving late on, who've then acted as clear leaders and won the game. Without those PR's the town fell apart here.

I think krellin basically restored the balance from SkiingCougar's modkilling anyway. 6 Mafia was the ideal number for this setup. It's probably true that if Skiing hadn't been modkilled, and then krellin had joined scum, that it would've been too scumsided, though. I underestimated how long krellin (or anyone) would take to pick a role, as I expected them to do it quickly out of fear of dying and thus instantly losing.

So when's the next one? I think I have a better handle on this whole town thing now

Ghug for mafia MVP. Jesus, I just had no mojo this game. At one point I actually listed the three remaining mafia as my top townreads.

Put me down as not loving the setup either though. I like the mystery PRs aspect as it makes the game less about claims and more about investigation (the fact that we didn't catch a single scum without PR help is the reason we lost), but I think the Amnesiac had a lot of incentive to wait and basically ended up with the power to decide who won. I also think six mafia is a little high unless you're up in the mid twenties in player count.
