Guys, there's no chance it's LYLO. It might be MYLO, in which case we might want to consider a no-lynch. I kinda think the Amnesiac should just claim if he's town and we do insist on lynching.

And what possible good will it do to NOT lynch today, let mafia lynch, and then come into tomorrow with even less of a margin of error on the lynch? How will you know anything more tomorrow? By announcing this idiotic strategy, you are basically telling the mafia they don't have to do ANYTHING risky today in order to expose themselves, because they just need to agree to help split the vote.

Refresh my memory -- "LYLO" and "MYLO" mean? I've not heard these terms until this game.

Never mind...I googled. LyLo--- Lynch and Lose. ghug is correct and it can't be LyLo because that would require there be 4 mafia.

MyLo is possible only if there is a third mafia, which is doubtful, but technically possible.

If it's LyLo, you have to lynch...but it's not, so it doesn't matter.

If it's MyLo, then a No-Lynch means one town night kill, and then tomorrow is LyLo....you are just delaying the inevitable and by announcing the strategy you can't gain any more information than you have now.

The mere suggestion of it is essentially an invitation to shut down information gathering.

The idea of no-lynching at MYLO is that you come into the next day with one less potential option and thus better odds of hitting mafia. As the next lynch has to be correct either way, you aren't losing an opportunity to lynch,you're just delaying it.

The downside is that if there are only two mafia, we give the mafia an extra opportunity to kill our PR(s).

ghug - it also works negative, in that you now have once less townie to tip the odds. You increase the relative Scum vs. Town strength, meaning that you need the town to be *perfect* in their vote and coordination.

Today, you still have the chance for some down Townie like Reeder (if he is...) to fucking freak out like he always does and pull his vote at the end of day. (which is his total mafia scum move hiding from ever being attached to ANYTHING of consequence....just saying....but nobody wants to see this OH-so-obvious play....sigh...)

No-Lynch only benefit the Town if the town actually has some knowledge to play with, which we don't. if a cop scan was available, and the cop could reveal himself, etc....but none of that exists, and therefore the only thing you do is go deeper into the hole.

That's the thing: at MYLO or LYLO, the town needs to be perfect. It's the difference between one wrong vote being a tie and a loss. At an endgame scenario you pretty much need a truly cleared townie to decide the lynch or we're pretty fucked anyway.

An intentional tie is no longer possiblt to coordinate ghug. Yesterday if people had listened to me it would have been. Now even if we got two wagons both 4-4 and hammered maf could simply apply the last hammer and a vote change too. We pretty much have to play as if we have no PR (based on lack of leadership) and its backs against the wall. My top 3 are meme, ND , reedeer1 who maybe was implying being modkilled was to make a townie get lynched. After all if hes so afraid of making a wrong decision he could have asked GM for a replacement. Somehow it seemed oddly pre-planned.

You are actually REDUCING your chances to hit a mafia. Your claim is that tomorrow you will have better odds because more town are dead. (sheesh....) If you get a vote today AND tomorrow you get double the worse odds, basically.
