guak for mvp he was brilliant this game. let me explain why. for one he made himself too risky to convert while also signalling mafia all game he was solid. he did hardly having to say much of anything because of the early game uncertainty into D3.

I think bo genuinely slipped, and tried to make it look like he meant to do it. We shouldn't give him too hard a time. It's true it made the fab role useless too.
Balki also had really good ideas to get his reads killed, and I'm sort of regretting I didn't think to claim tracker.
Brain claiming a role I'm not sure what his motive was, but I was hoping for a traitor to try to take a vig bullet for us. At the time I thought that was what he was doing, so I think all three don't deserve that much hate for their plays.

I'd consider demanding bo's exclusion, but he makes it so easy, and I should always think selfishly first. There may be GMs I have various issues with, but GMing and playing are separate issues, and I can choose to quietly exclude myself from games run by such GMs in the future if I feel that their actions are strong enough to warrant banning.

I would request that anyone planning on running a game so differently set up from normal mafia tell us before signups start in the future. It's obviously cool if people want to do this again, but I found that the constantly changing roles made the game less interesting, so I'd like to be able to quietly exclude myself from those too without inconveniencing the GMs who planned for a certain number of players.


Flum for MVP, I think. The mafia PRs did a good job of getting themselves targeted for conversion while simultaneously not getting lynched, and since OB died early and Vecna got swapped out, that leaves Flum.

ghug and Balki for anti-MVP, Balki for getting a mafia-PR killed, and ghug for not bothering to take a minute to think through all the possibilities on night five, wrongly assuming that Flum would either shoot Jamie or Yoyo, giving the cult immediate victory or defeat.

I think delarosa managing to shoot a cult leader and a Mafia PR was actually kind of impressive, even if he was pretty clearly town-sided.

@bb, that y2k shot was smart and I would definitely be pushing delarosa for MVP right now if town had won and it hadn't been on the back of meme tricking people into hammering themselves twice in a row (which he actually almost did).

There were a lot of good plays this game. It's hard to think of a true standout MVP in traditional terms, but i'll give it some more thought.

I will say.. and it is a critique of myself. You all know that I don't like to critique myself, but making a Fab-QM relationship was probably not ideal because it ended up rendering a role useless. I'll take that to heart.

I'm going to say, being a role and alignment that I knew I would stay the whole game made the game a lot easier for me I think. I had a set goal from the beginning that I had to accomplish and it was fun in hindsight. (Although I had a couple moments this game where I felt exasperated)
I'm not sure how I would have liked being a traitor.

Flum are you always a freaking PR? (I think there was one time you weren't)

Here I was planning my triumphant return in the signups for the next game, but it looks like my secret is out. I couldn't let such bitterness go without comment! Besides, I've only been gone for something like six months.

I will also second the notion of returning to a less role-swappy version of mafia for the next game. This one seemed like it would be awfully difficult on those people who can't be sure of their allegiance at any time. In either case, as cool as new formats may be, I'll always be a fan of classic with a select few extra power roles whenever that's an option.

I wasn't last game where HR lynched me for being too lazy to do anything.

Some people in these games just don't understand that "being lazy" is subjective. Lazy to one person may be hard work to another.

This WardenDresden character seems interesting. Why would they be banned?
