Movement Question
Say Country 1 has units A and B and Country 2 has units C and D. What would happen if A supports B to C, and C supports D to B at the same time? Do the moves cancel out, or does B move to C (dislodging it) and D moves to B?

No Build phase
Hey guys. I'm a new user and I'm playing a game with friend (ID is 206642) and I'm wondering if there is a bug or a rule we missed. I'm playing as Germany and I have 6 supply centers, 5 units and no build phase. I'm also curious if the game didn't register a capture of a supply center. I was in Warsaw and then took Moscow the next turn. I captured Moscow and not Warsaw. Can a vet help out some newbies?

Study music recommendations
Hey guys I'd appreciate it if you could recommend music that's helpful for studying. I ( like many) find it difficult to concentrate on immediate concerns like getting physics homework out of the way or starting a paper on whatever subject. I've tried classical music and it helps though some classical music I imagine is better than others for this. If you can recommend artists I'd appreciate it.

@tweeters, we can sustain our current population by fishing (Only 30 people out of 300 must fish) extrapolating we will need 40 for 400 and 50 for 500. So we can sustain easily with food. what we need is a population to put to work in the mines when they are complete.

Brainbot says if we fished the waters it provides +2 food a turn. For us to get any bonus it requires a minimum of 30 workers. If we extrapolate that the fact that 15 workers won't provide 1 food then 45 workers wont provide 3 food and 60 workers won't provide 4 food.

Even if it did work that way, fishing isn't providing enough food for us as is, hence the recycler giving up an addition 1 food. We could provide even more fishermen at that point you could argue, but then we have to worry about over fishing our area, which would in turn lower the amount of food per fisherman we can produce. Pretty quickly we would run out of food and starve.

Tweeters, I think the 10-man secret service is a small sacrifice for the great morale penalty that would no doubt occur if the President were to be assassinated.

We are currently able to sustain 300 colonists. I'm sure we'll find way to make more food soon, for example as the surrounding area becomes suitable for plant life. In any case, we should put it to a vote next phase.

It seems that with Tweeter's nay vote on 7.2, there is currently a tie between 7.1 and 7.2. I will be going to bed soon, so I will most likely not be here at phase change, but if the tie is not broken by then, I choose to ##Veto Proposal 7.1.

It appears there should be no issue.
Billb will have a window of an additional 24 hours to plant the device and get out of range. If he is unable to get out of range or if there are complications we will likely lose contact to the helm shuttle. It is a possibility the shuttle could be destroyed but I am certain that building a falcon shuttle or having Space X provide us a new one would be easy.

Its more the loss of life that will have a palpable effect upon the citizens. Many are watching the live feed of the launch. At least 130 people are on the beach waiting to see what happens. The mood is optimistic.

Hangar – A hangar can be built with 60 workers, 500 credits and 1200 Steel. Effect produces +1, choose one: tank, rover, harvester, submarine, or space fighter per phase. Takes two phases to build.

BUILT: *Machine Shop* – A Machine Shop can be built with 60 workers, 300 Credits  and 800 Steel, and help lifting from a Cyborg. Effect: each phase can create tools, hand weapons, armors, or anything you can think of. Takes two phases to build. (RUSH completed by Engineer)

Medbay 2 – 100 workers, hand tools, 400 Credits, 1000 Steel heals injured councilors and experts at +1 extra hit point per phase. Takes three phases to build.

Greenhouses – Produces +1 food boosts each phase and improve health +1. Requires 200 workers, and an appointed Specialist or Councillor. 500 Steel. 600 Credits. Water.

Bar – Allows a tavern to be built on the ship. 300 Steel, 15 workers, Alcohol. +1 morale. +2 colony corruption.

1. Convert Scrap to Cyborgs: Allows ship to manufacture 2 cyborg sentries per phase by collecting scrap and space junk. ----> Unlocks Advanced Robotics Tech Level 2.

2. Minor Conversion: Allows ship to focus a particle beam on an area of 30 KM in diameter and convert all dead matter in that area to living. Things affected: Zombies, Uninhabitable zones, areas devoid of oxygen and more. ------> Unlocks Major Conversion Tech Level 2.

3. Ionization: Allows the ship to generate Ionized gasses and produce storms. After 2 full phases of focus using Ionization a Planet will develop a normal atmosphere if it did not already have one. -----> Unlocks Lesser Terraform level 2.

4. Supremacy – Allows integration with cyborgs. Giving cyborgs human like appearance, flesh, and emotions. Cyborgs can also survive harsher heat conditions. Creates a free cyborg expert with a 98% usefulness ability.

5. Space Station 1 – Allows the building project 1/3 to complete a space station. Central Hub.

6. Mark IV Super Laser – If Focused on an enemy target the Mark IV can deliver once per phase a massive blast more powerful than a nuclear weapon. (Ion Cannon)

7. Advanced Rocketry– Your ships rockets requires 50% less fuel. You may travel greater distances with your FTL drive. You may launch ICBMs, Satillites, with re-useable rockets.
(You will gain this mid phase for joining SpaceX)

8. Advanced Harvesters – Allows harvesters to collect minerals twice as fast, and store twice as much.

9. Falcon II – An extremely dangerous cloaking capable attack vessel able to travel at great speeds and equippable with a massive arsenal of weapons.

10. Hacking Protocol Tech 2 – Steal Technologies from other factions. If detected suffer lesser penalty for Espionage against other factions.

11. Offshore Colony. Moves around on the sea. Turns colony into a large Oil Rig. +1 Oil, +1 Food, +1 Colony-Movement. Loses benefits of land based improvements.

3.Major Terraform : Alters a planet at no harm to living populace. Takes two phases to research. Within a phase a planets climate/geography/air quality/plantlife/anything can be altered. This may only be done once to any planet - ever. Multiple attempts to terraform a planet will destroy it.

Districts are like the suburbs of the future. It isnt that people are created, its more likely tourists, foreigners, aliens and middle class families will flock to districts from other colonies that arent doing well. A district houses 200 people and features a significant amount of variety of suites ranging from large family dwellings/mansions / lofts / single apartments and luxury. Districts with open availability go immediately on craigslist universal database. Typically housing fills within a phase of completion if a district.

Got it. Proposing things is fine but not voting on them until we've discussed thoroughly. That makes sense. With that said...

##Proposal 19.0 No voting may take place within the first 24 hours of each phase. Any vote that is made within that time is not counted in the final vote tally.

CommanderByron, Proposal 18.0 is in violation of Proposal 8.1, which passed last phase. In addition, we don't have the requisite drills and tools.

billb, I suggest you become a hacker if you die. We could have averted the crisis last phase if we had a hacker.

Here is the proposal I suggested last phase about starting up K-12 education.

##Proposal 20.0 Buy 20 sets of all textbooks necessary for K-12 education. They will be class sets and are not to leave the classroom. Additionally, allocate 6 colonists as teachers, hiring preferentially those who have experience in teaching in the past. School attendance is mandatory for those under the age of 16.

Finally, here I'm going to re-introduce my secret service proposal, not for my own safety, but to prevent the colony from suffering the traumatic even of their President being assassinated.

##Proposal 8.4 Give 10 soldiers an extra phase of special military training and assign them as secret service to protect the President from danger.

In regards to the message from the Croatian colony, the written effects seem all beneficial, but I'm worried given our past interactions with Croatia that the diplomat could actually be a spy sent here because the Croatians haven't been hearing from their cyborg implant.

In regards to the crisis, we cannot let the union members win. Firstly, we cannot afford to pay them that much, and secondly if we start paying the union members everyone else will want to be paid too. A newly established colony like ours cannot afford such greed among our colonists. I will make a speech to convince the people of that shortly.

Bladerunners, let me make a speech first and see if that can dissuade some of them.

Regarding paying the workers, I agree we should do so in the future, but right now we don't have the money for it. As it is, they are getting free food and housing, more than can be said if they didn't have us. In fact, if my speech fails to move them, I may very well propose to throw them out until they agree to come back as non-unionists.

Regarding the Russian Orbital, we need a trade partner to build some things like the Bazaar.

@Tweeters We can support extra colonists from Space X if we build the Bazaar.
