If worst comes to worst, I agree that the commando should take down the nuke. The commando is made for something like this, going down in a blaze of glory.

I don't know if we have a clear shot, but it should definitely reach us in time, since it's essentially light. It's essentially using the Mark IV Deep Space Super Laser tech, but we're using Space X's rather than our own.

@Leon, Light travels at the speed of light, which is very very fast, the closest inhabitable planets to earth are light years away, which means it would take a year for the laser to reach.

- does our crew consist of any soldiers ... i.e. they wouldn't be trained as well our commando but can they act as any kind of security/fighting force?
- wouldn't the cyborg need to agree to do mission to disarm nuke? we don't have any control over the cyborg do we?
- I also like Commander Byron's question about communication -- do we just respond every phase or can we communicate in real time? i.e.president or designate --> example - if its going to take a full phase for nuke to reach us, but we can do things 'before' the nuke reaches us ---

@ group - if we can remove the communication device from cyborg - another option is to also feed misinformation or specified information to the Croatian colony (i.e. we are peaceful; we are strong / can defend ourselves etc.)

You have handguns, knives and basic weapons. You may always designate police/security/guards/soldiers from your worker pool any amount you wish. To train soldiers you may use your commando or cyborg or any role with an attack greater than 2. If you wish to train a cllr to fight you may have that cllr train under a character woth a 2 or better. After a full phase of concentrated training is complete all units and characters trained in this matter gain attack +1.

Yes. The cyborg is a living, AI. He thinks for himself and is capable of emotion and empathy. As well as service to the colony. He has free willl and may not be willing to die.

Certain circumstances will allow real time communication. For example you may ask me anything anytime. You may ask workers/specialists and anyone who contacts you live anything.

The nuke will hit at start of phase III unless dealt with. This is a virtual certainty as our THAAD system had detected a nuclear launch from OrbitalATK headed our way.

You have 3 basic rovers.

I believe you mean the abandoned colony 87km away. You are certain the colony was not a SpaceX colony. Data records indicate an American Military subcontractor called Triple Canopy attempted to settle in jungle regions in 2057. The colony was abandoned after a brief time. Evidence shows there is an abandoned Medbay, an old Wind Turbine, and a Hanger which collapsed. No vehicles remain. The buildings could be scrapped for an estimated 2600 Steel. It would require 60 workers. No life forms or energy signatures detected.

It would not incur a fuel penalty and would not affect normal food consumption.

@tweeters- yes, because its just as legitimate an opinion and idea. I gave the third planet a prop last phase even though no one expressed serious interest in it.

Brainbot:
While your assertion that a light based weapon travels a great distance rapidly is true - the key part is its targeting mechanism has a range of 1-2. And the damage that weapon can unleash is limited to within its targeting range. The ion cannon can be deployed on a ship, on a probe or a satillite and that can absolutely change its range and accuracy. They could possibly pinpoint the ATK colony with help. Maybe a laser guided marker on the ground. But consider that our long range scanners did not even see they were here. It would make it difficult to get an exact coordinate on their colony command center (even from here) given the volcanic nature of that planet.

@Byron I'm not saying its not a good idea, but propositions are things to do, not to not do. your proposition basically says, to write another proposition at a later time. Its a great plan, I just don't think it needs to be a proposition.

Okay so we can't directly communicate with the russians in a matter that would be beneficial for our colony.
