What do people do outside of webDip?
Do people actually have lives outside of this game? What do people actually pursue with their existence? Who has the worst job? All of these burning questions, just waiting to be answered.

Trump pulls out
It appears the days where America cared about polar bears, rising sea levels, emissions, and trying to be a leader in changing our dying planet.... has all come to an end. RIP Earth.

WebDiplomacy Survivor - Final Tribal Council
35 days ago, 21 castaways begun their journey in the webDiplomacy version of the famous reality game show. Now, only three - Balki Bartokomous, DemonOverlord, Fluminator - remain, and all have fought tooth and nail to make it this far.

The final victor will be decided by eleven of the players they voted out, and this is their opportunity to sway votes their way. Welcome to Final Tribal.

"@Balki
You understand why I'm arguing that wasn't strategically thinking right? Only thinking "I will do whatever I can that gives me the best chance of getting into final 3" is not the same thinking as "I will do whatever I can that gives me the best chance of winning the game". Sure you might be more likely to have gotten into the final three by taking out snowy, but your chances of winning in a final 3 with Flum and DO is way worse than you/flum/snowy or you/DO/Ghug."

You are saying my moves are poor by assuming the conclusion. You are saying "you're bout to lose at jury so you're move sucked."

That is circular and illogical. Save that stuff for after the jury vote.

More than half the jury are people who I did not stab, and people who I expect have plenty of honor and respect for the game. I get the sense that most people have not made up their mind. And hearing you and uclabb say the same things over and over doesn't give you more than one vote.
Yo demon, why did you give up the white rock. It seems the moment that happened having both you and ghug in the final 3 seemed impossible

I have a nice quote from demon about ghug in final 4 when I get to a computer
Fluminator (1500 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Also at least demon admits she played no part in snowy going home that round.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
I just looked through our messages and found no notable quotes so I don't know what you're talking about.
And, we all wanted him gone and we all voted him. No one master planned a sneak vote on snowy lmao. It was basic af. You people and your cheap tricks.
@demon: Ah so you didn't want to go to the final 3 with ghug but you didn't want to vote him out yourself?
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
No I did. I wouldn't have voted him out.
So you didn't want to screw over ghug but decided to make a move that did?
@Demon, can you elaborate on how I, in your words, "nudged" you to give up the white rock?
Because "nudge" is a good word. I did a lot of nudging in this game.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
@vash my motives for giving up the rock didn't consider ghug, only myself
@balki you said "are you giving Flum the rock" and expressed that I should. I was already going to do it, I was waiting for Flums response
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Yeah you talk a lot, congrats.
Do you didn't think of how your move would affect your ally who you wanted to go to the end with?
*so
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Agh Vash, I was hoping one of us would get the immunity. Was I supposed to forsee this? And yeah, final 4 I'm going to look out for myself first. I'm sure ghug understands, don't know why you don't. I'm also sure my alliance with ghug was the most solid one in the entire game, so don't even fucking try that.
"@balki you said "are you giving Flum the rock" and expressed that I should. I was already going to do it, I was waiting for Flums response"

Let's ask the fact-checkers to verify.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Was it not something like that? I was giving Flum the rock the moment I made the deal with him. That's how I work.
Okay question to all the finalists. If you were to describe the game you wanted to play in three words, what would they be? What about the game you actually played?
Ezio (2181 D)
31 May 17 UTC
@balki again you're missing what I'm saying.
I'm not saying you're certain to lose. I'm saying this was the worst possible choice of final 3 you could make if you want to win.
ghug (5068 D(B))
31 May 17 UTC
That's not an okay question Vash. It's very much below average.
Nevertheless it was asked, ghug
Okay, Demon says this about my "nudging" her to give Flum the white rock:

"@balki you said "are you giving Flum the rock" and expressed that I should. I was already going to do it, I was waiting for Flums response"

I have the transcript. I think that reading this is a great illustration of the way I played the game, and the way I was "nudging" so much of what happened. I hope that people who are undecided will read this transcript and not rely on Demon's paraphrase:

CONVERSATION OF BALKI AND DEMON:

Balki: “Soooo...have you been soul searching about this white rock?”

Demon: “What do you think I should do about the white rock? Just keep it?”

Balki: “I don't really want to give you advice on the white rock. I'd like to know what YOU decide to do with it”

Demon: “Why not”

Balki: “Well...I'm counting on you to live up to your word with me. I'd really like you to make it to jury, and I'd like you to plan to make a pitch like this one:

‘I played an honest and loyal game. And when I made a promise to someone, I kept it. That's why I didn't need to win a bunch of immunities, and that's why I never received a single vote for the entire game. Because people knew that they could trust me.’”

Balki: “And so I guess I'm just sort of observing this white rock agreement with interest, and trying to figure whether I can count on a deal that I make with you too. Too much honesty?”

Demon: “No that's good. I'm literally waiting on Flum, he said he might not want it.”

Balki: “So, I'm going to explain my situation is exquisite detail: I'd like you to keep it between you and me. Flum and Snowy want to vote out ghug. You and ghug want to vote out Snowy. I made a final three deal with you and ghug, and I intend to honor that agreement. But I am observing the white rock deal, because I'd like to feel confident that you intend to honor that agreement too. Also, I'd like to make one other deal with you.

Demon: “I trust that you'll vote with us. Ah. Which is what?”

Balki: I think there will be an immunity challenge next round. If any of you, me, or ghug wins, we are all in great shape. We all vote together and we make it to final 3. So what if Flum wins immunity? You and I made what I'm quite sure was the very first agreement that anyone made in the game. A final 3 deal, back at the very start of Entente. And I am hoping, in that unlikely eventuality, of Flum immunity, that you will honor that very first deal, and form a voting bloc with me, to vote out ghug, and join me in the final 3. 75% of the time, you, me, or ghug wins immunity, and we don't have to worry about that. But I'd like for us both to be assured of making the final 3 no matter what. And this deal does that for both of us. And then I can relax during my trip to the San Juans, and you can relax during your regular old 2-day weekend.

Demon: “Hm, interesting. Ok, if it comes down to that - if you have my back, I'll have yours. We'll need Floom's help as well... If he gets white rock he'll happily let any of us die at random.”

IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS, BALKI GOES TO FLUM:

Balki: “I spoke with Demon. She said that she was waiting to hear from you about whether you want the white rock. I think you should tell her that you want it, and then provided that she gives it to you, we should vote out Snowy.”

Flum: “Ok, I'll try to get the white rock more aggressively. I was hoping she'd just give it to me.”

NEXT

Demon to Balki: I gave the white rock to Flum

NEXT

Flum to Balki: “Holy crap. She just gave me the rock.”
So, y'all can credit Flum for taking the white rock if that fits your narrative, but the transcript says:

Balki does a whole bunch of work to pry away the white rock and tells Flum how to get it.

Flum says: “Ok, I'll try to get the white rock more aggressively. I was hoping she'd just give it to me.”

and then Flum says: “Holy crap. She just gave me the rock.”

That's the transcript. No gloss.
That's what Demon meant when she offered that I "nudged" her into giving Flum the white rock. She's certainly correct about that.

Also, it is okay. The more important part is the second but summaries are kind of needed in this thread.

Basically the idea is to provide you with a centre so we can work together. The only press is public commitment to attack Italy. Every sentence may be in Gascony and the other games. The rest is autocompleted to find out what kind of player is required.
