What do people do outside of webDip?
Do people actually have lives outside of this game? What do people actually pursue with their existence? Who has the worst job? All of these burning questions, just waiting to be answered.

It appears the days where America cared about polar bears, rising sea levels, emissions, and trying to be a leader in changing our dying planet.... has all come to an end. RIP Earth.

WebDiplomacy Survivor - Final Tribal Council
35 days ago, 21 castaways begun their journey in the webDiplomacy version of the famous reality game show. Now, only three - Balki Bartokomous, DemonOverlord, Fluminator - remain, and all have fought tooth and nail to make it this far.

The final victor will be decided by eleven of the players they voted out, and this is their opportunity to sway votes their way. Welcome to Final Tribal.

@Demon, "lmao" is not an argument, and you don't really have any idea what happened during the final tribe, because you did not do any of it. It happened to you.

Granted, you are popular, and many of us have crushes on you.
Fluminator (1500 D)

I'm assuming it was ghug at least. If demon helped that's credit to her I guess.
Ezio (2181 D)

@Demon same question for you.
@Balki did Ghug convince you that it was a better idea to take out Snowy than him or Demon?
Durga (3609 D)

I get that the narrative of me not doing anything is beneficial to both of you, but really no one buys it so you can both calm down. All people need to do is go read global.
"@balki so what are you supposed to do when nations attempt to cut you from the draw balki? If you tell them (as I told you) if you stab me I will do whatever I can to see you lose, and then they stab you, are you not supposed to throw?
I will every time. I don't make empty threats. If you stab me and I can still touch the game, I will do everything I can to see you lose."

I think that the strategy you are advocating for is the same as tossing over the board, letting the pieces fall on the floor, and throwing a hissy fit. No, that's not what I think one should do.

If I am defeated by your good strategy, I will tip my cap and say "well done."
Durga (3609 D)

What question Ezio?
When did I ever say I believed Balki wouldn't betray me?
Ezio (2181 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Did you and Ghug convince Balki taking out Snowy was in his best interests?
uclabb (589 D)

"Demon had no control over who made final jury. She survived because Fluminator and I chose her. She voted for herself in the last vote."

I think this is what Demon was lmao-ing about. No, Balki *you* survived because Fluminator chose you *and* gave you the white rock. He double saved you.
uclabb (589 D)
31 May 17 UTC
That's the truth of all of this. If Flum hadn't wheedled the white rock out from Demon and ghug, Balki doesn't make the final three.
"@Ghug can you verify that? Did you seriously convince Balki this was the optimal final 3 for him?
@Balki is what Flum said true?"

Flum is talking out of his well-sculpted ass. He has literally not a shred of evidence to support that claim, and he knows in his heart it is a lie.

But he is making a decent gamble. Say something "is because ghug is great," and ask ghug to verify. That is a winning strategy.

No, of course not. If anything can be gleaned from these pages, it is that I acted with a purpose. Here was my purpose in choosing to vote out Snowy:

As I've said over and over, I wanted to ensure that I would make final jury. I wrote Demon a song and convinced her that she should keep a promise to me to take me to final three. I observed that Flum wanted to take Snowy to final 3, and did not want to take ghug to final 3. So I made damn sure that, just in case Fluminator has the option, he would be choosing between me and ghug, and not choosing between me and Snowy.

The idea that ghug had any influence here is complete fiction.

TrPrado Day-1 47:29
"peter: I can tell everyone else here is joking (especially since ghug is awful), but was your assessment of bald joking? I haven't paid attention to recent games, so I don't have anything to work off of for about the past year."

No I was dead serious! Bald has been Snowy's overly loyal second vote in several games now. If Snowy is alien, we could be doomed with Bald around. Let's lynch one of them so we break up this pair. I could settle lynching Snowy instead of Bald though. The same goal is reached either way. Also Snowy's overly agressive style does not match his town meta very well. It is some kind of a new Snowy this. Just a thought...
@Fluminator:

Do you have any evidence to suggest that ghug convinced me to vote out Snowy? Why did you say that?

I actually think that ghug might even confirm that this is fiction, even though doing so would not fit the "ghug is responsible for all" narrative. That would be something.

You're so fond of fiction, Balki. I would expect you to like the idea of Demon and I convincing you of something more if it weren't true.

"Alright, I confess I don't think you're scum either." (in a response to TrPrado arguing with him).

Snowy being so flexible and changing opinion this easily is odd! Not at all the tunnelling Snowy, we are so used to when he is town.
@uclabb, "That's the truth of all of this. If Flum hadn't wheedled the white rock out from Demon and ghug, Balki doesn't make the final three."

Not correct. Check who Demon voted for at final tribal. The white rock was insignificant. But if you want to credit someone for "wheedlng the white rock," understand that two people did that. I did it too!

It's fine to be wrong, but go chase some other leads before you decide you want to continue being wrong."

How the f***, can Snowy be so sure about ghug? Very scummy.

But later on, when being the primary lynch candidate, I think Snowy improved, less aggression and more analysis, doing some statements I found to be genuine scum hunting that I actually believed could be true. (Does Snowy know things I do not know perhaps?).

@ezio I mentioned it several times through the game, by the time the round came about we were all in agreement about snowy. Balki didn't want him either probably because it meant he was less likely to be final 3

Balki if I didn't end up giving the white rock to Flum I would one hundred percent have voted either you or ghug. Watching a 1v1 would be cool even if Flum didn't like the idea.

I decided to give the white rock to Flum, you nudged something I was going to do anyway. Congrats? I don't actually regret it.
So here's the strategic analysis from Balki's perspective folks:

5 people left: Flum, Demon, ghug, Balki, Snowy.

- I feel confident that ghug and demon will take me to final 3.
- I feel confident that Flum will take me to final 3.
- I just stabbed Snowy, and I don't feel confident in him at all.
- I know that Flum wants Snowy in final 3 and doesn't want ghug in final 3.

OF COURSE IT IS IN MY STRATEGIC INTEREST TO VOTE OUT SNOWY AND NOT GHUG. It's not something I had to be convinced of. It was obviously true.

The idea that I shouldn't get credit for this because phantom people manipulated me into thinking it is silly. It was obviously better for me to take out Snowy at that stage. And that's what I did.
Wrong thread peter

I actually wasn't referring to the fact that I nudged you into giving Flum the white rock so that it would benefit me down the line. That's true -- I did that. I was referring to getting the white rock from Flum after he got it from you.

Backup plans for my backup plans.

I agree, I don't think anyone had to be convinced to vote out snowy. It was just the obvious move.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Balki, you only got the white rock because Flum decided you were less threatening than ghug. Do you understand this?
uclabb (589 D)
31 May 17 UTC
The fact that everyone wanted to take you to final three should have been a red flag that they didn't think you were going to win.
Ezio (2181 D)
31 May 17 UTC
@Balki
You understand why I'm arguing that wasn't strategically thinking right? Only thinking "I will do whatever I can that gives me the best chance of getting into final 3" is not the same thinking as "I will do whatever I can that gives me the best chance of winning the game". Sure you might be more likely to have gotten into the final three by taking out snowy, but your chances of winning in a final 3 with Flum and DO is way worse than you/flum/snowy or you/DO/Ghug.
@uclabb,

We all get it. You got stabbed.

"The fact that everyone wanted to take you to final three should have been a red flag that they didn't think you were going to win."

No, I voted out all the people who weren't going to take me to final three, and I built up alliances with people who would take me to final three. This is not something that just happened while I sat back. I worked hard to achieve it.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Giving the white rock to Flum was actually really strategically brilliant for me. For one, I knew I was making the final three at that point. Two, I wouldn't have to make a horrible decision on who to save with the rock as I liked everyone. Three, Flum picking Balki to live over ghug actually works out for me because as much as I'd love ghug here it's obviously a benefit for me that he's on the jury. And I couldn't vote him out myself because that would be complete wrath against me.
