I change my game up every time I play but there is still a pretty obvious hangover. I don't think you're all that different, y2k - you can change individual facets of your game all you want, but when it comes to reading you, the best reads are going to be the ones that actually read into you and your personality a little, not just the ones that comment on things that happened on the surface in the game.

by my count you got almost half the field are 1st or 2nd timers perhaps a few tidbits of advice for ppl from experienced players would be good. I know now that forcing a tie D1 is horrible and a lynch-able offense for example.

Advice: Don't get lynched.

My advice is that softing anything as a new player is incredibly dangerous. Fake claiming is not necessarily good either. As scum listen to your scum leader. And as town listen to the people who are clearly town. Dont get nervous about 4 or 5 votes on you; as most of the votes change at deadline and people disregard entire days worth of conversation. Also dont lurk, even if it makes you look cautious, cautious is probably the easiest way to get killed by a bloodthirsty town or a suspicious mafia. If you are lucky enough to live beyond D1 and D2 then it can actually be a burden of responsibility so bear it without regret. Speak even when not spoken too, and dont get caught up in worrying about 1 petty opinion, fuck that opinion and be yourself.

Also, dont be brainbomb. I think anyone trying to play like me is just trying to set themself on fire.

Advice: Don't fake claim, ever.

Yes there are special circumstances, but everyone thinks that their case is special, even when it's not. It's best to just not fake claim ever.

Good to see some new blood in mafia. Would be nice to get a few more mid-to-experienced level players in to round things out.

Fake-claiming near EOG is sometimes a good strategy for Mafioso who think they have a chance at confusing the town. Otherwise, usually not such a good idea.

I suppose if you want to give out advise for mafia instead of town, fake claiming is fine in a lot of instances.

I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere, but has anyone compiled a list of the outcomes of all of the webDip Mafia games so far? I'm interested how often the scum win, etc.

Is this the appropriate place for me to protest being credited with a loss for MXV? That might sound petty, but why play if you don't care whether you're assigned a win, assigned a loss, or your game is voided? I care!

I was assigned a role that had almost no chance of winning (explained in God Thread) and my death was a misadjudication (also explained in God thread). If I am assigned a loss for that, the standings seem rather meaningless.
