You guys have never played with hellalt. I like him (he knows I do), but he goes off on rants when he gets stabbed or someone does something that doesn't fit into his plan. that's why manners aren't important to him. Chainsaw diplomacy is hellalt's modus operandi.

I would like to join a game, but I need 36-48 hour phases, and would prefer 48 hours.

i need once a year phases :)

I would love to play. High points and no manners sounds good.
I prefer WTA games and don't like games with longer than 24 hour phases. I'll check back on this thread.

I played in the first ever 10 day phase game. Talk about a long running game.

I get off on rants when a stab is stupid (like your 2 stabs in 3 turns in our last game together that earned you shit) or when I see bad tactics and shitty strategy.

Hell yeah I don't think diplomacy should be a popularity contest. It's not Barbie of Little Pony. If you don't have BALLS big enough to handle some bad manners then fuck you and go play risk.

I remind you that this game is supposed to be about diplomacy and geopolitics. In real life politics manners don't matter. If you have reasons to ally with someone then you do it even if he is a bully. For example, noone allies with USA before he likes Americans... You ally with USA because you have to gain something or because you are afraid.

That's why I prefer playing gunboat games from now on. Cause people here are just too PUSSIES to handle some real tough diplomacy. Want good manners? Go to a neighborhood barbecue party you jerks!!

the game will be 24hrs/turn. 10 days per turn? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? Do you really expect me to believe you have so much to do in your MISERABLE PATHETIC life that you don't have time to do some fucking diplomacy and enter a few orders? If yes then get the fuck outta here!!

I am far more scared of polite, vague, tactful players than rude, specific, blunt ones.

Personally, I specifically like to ally with straightforward, if rude players because I think I can get into their heads and know where they stand. Long ranting messages are usually quite thoughtful and can teach you a lot about the strategic situation of the game and what's on the mind of that player.

Let me put it another way: I've never been stabbed by somebody who cursed and ranted at me.

That's because when someone stabs you they have no reason to cuss you out.

Yes, that's kind of what I'm saying. If somebody is cussing you out, it's probably because they're trying to persuade you to not do something they think is a bad move or bad set of moves, or they're just angry at being attacked.

When somebody tries to tell me everything I want to hear and is really polite, that's when I get scared.

I wouldn't say tactics are my strong suit, but I'd be up for a game, hellalt. I'd like a buy-in of at least 101 , WTA and anonymous, but let me know what you have in mind.
