Obi's Picks:
DET@DAL: I’m riding with the LIONS…I think this is the year they break their playoff drought, and if the Cowboys are notable for anything in the Romo era, its inconsistency and a tendency to choke under pressure…look for it to come down to a late Stafford drive, one which the Golden Boy will make good on
CAR@CHI: I’m going to go ahead and take the PANTHERS over a Bears team that can’t seem to get much going; offense usually beats defense, but when your offense is as bad as the Bears’ O is, I think an offense like the Panthers’ with Cam and Crew can and will prevail
PIR@HOU: Tempting to go for the upset here, but I’m taking the STEELERS
TEN@CLE: I’ll tale the TITANS, but it’s by no means a lock, and if the Browns won, I wouldn’t be surprised
BUF@CIN: Rolling with the hot hand, the BILLS go 4-0
WAS@STL: Two other teams staying perfect, the REDSKINS at 4-0 and the Rams at 0-4
MIN@KC: The VIKINGS will finally, at long last, be able to take a lead and not blow it…hopefully
SF@PHI: As tempting as it is for me to take an upset pick here, I do think the 49ers will win the division, it’s that weak and they’re the most consistent of the lot, and with Vick’s hand broken and his head concussed, it’s tempting, yes, but I’ll take the EAGLES nonetheless in a hard-hitting game, and secretly hope I’m wrong (go Niners!)
NO@JAC: The SAINTS go marching all over the Jags
SEA@ATL: I’ll take the FALCONS again, but they’d justify that pick this time…losing to the Bucs is one thing, but a loss to the ‘hawks and we could have some sour talk in Atlanta
NYG@ARI: The GIANTS in a blowout
DEN@GB: The PACKERS, too, are set for a blowout here
MIA@SD: And continuing the blowout theme, give one to the CHARGERS
NE@OAK: In my upset special between two teams I can’t stand, the RAIDERS will make it two stunners in two weeks, as McFadden and that Raider offense will prove to the world once and for all, the Pats defense that was such a huge of that dynasty is done
NYJ@BAL: With the Bills and Pats looking competitive this year in the AFC East, and the Baltimore’s yearning to knock Pittsburgh from the top slot in the AFC North, this is a game with two hard-hitting teams trying to prove something: it’s a perfect Sunday Night Football matchup, looks to be a great one, and I’ll take the JETS to win in a slugfest
IND@TB: This would’ve been an upset pick before the season, now it’s just common sense…the BUCS over the Colts, who’d better enjoy these prime time TV slots while they can, because if Manning doesn’t come back, these could be their last moments in the sun for a while
