Finalising in gunboat games.

I used to have different preferences...used to love Turkey until I looked at the terrible opposition I had whenever I won as Turkey.

New favorite: Italy.
Second: Germany (but I hate the plateau in growth rate during midgame when in alliances with France).
Third: England
Fourth: France
Fifth: Turkey
Sixth: Austria
Seventh: Russia

The best I've ever been able to do with Germany is a draw (which was probably my fault for not cultivating any strong alliances). But Germany is usually a death sentence for me.

That and every Germany game I've been in is usually one that has to be ended early (like the one where Turkey and Austria, who were a RL couple, broke up and killed all of our desire to play).

Well my list is partly influenced by the fact that my two wins were with Germany and Russia, but they do seem to be the best two to play.

austria - games are never dull and you either do awesome or don't have to worry about playing the game for a long time
italy - most flexible country it can engage in the eastern-triad, western-triad or both
germany - interesting but I never know what to do
russia - too much territory to cover and no guarenteed 1901 builds
france - dunno why, I just never do well with france
england - locked in a corner
turkey - I usually do well with turkey but I hate it, I hate when people succeed with turkey it seems like nobody ever digs them out of their corner becuase if you do then you get stabbed because all your units are away from battle once you've conquered them

New Games

How do a create a new game which starts at a particular time? i was under the impression that when 7 people join, the game starts basically immediately (might be a short down time for a 'cycle' to pass), but i just joined a game where it starts at a particular time. I dont see that option in the New game settings ... it sucks because i joined a live game thinking that it will start when 7 people join, but instead its starting in 3 hrs -- im now locked into the game and cant play in 3 hours ...

Needed - simple overhaul of "title"

total, but because I have 145
