I'm in. But the timing is not perfect. I'm working 10 hours Saturday ending at 2200 GMT. One or two hours later is better.

Was just checking my game log to see if I've played with a mod before.And I haven't so can I be counted in.

As long as you play with reasonable players its a great game, with a lot of diplomacy going on anyway, just in more subtle ways.

Well... much more complex and interesting scenarios are achievable through talking, and I wouldn't say there's a lot of diplomacy going on.
Waiting for phase ends and finalizing is also SO annoying- especially when its -retreat and then build phases where you're got nothing to do.

I seem to be one of the few forum regulars who agree's with your crusade in principal. However, that does not mean on every occasion. The live game thread is a great idea when you're looking for a game that minute, since the thread is up to date and useful.
However, I'm collected people for a game ON SATURDAY.

Fair enough figle. But how would it look if I exempted your thread from my spamming? People might get the idea that I support it. :-P

I don't think I can do it this Saturday, figle. I have a family dinner that will be going on then. Crap. I wanted to play this one.

That issue aside, what do you have against my thread? I do agree that 'Join my life game now' threads are a waste, and it is much nicer just having one. However, this is clearly a game preparation thread. The fact that it happens the game will be live is irrelevant.

:( That sucks. I would offer to change the time/date but I'll be back onto revision Sunday morning. Perhaps once exams are over.

@rlumley - the thing I have against the "live game" thread is you. You are walking around basically telling everyone what to do on the forum like you own the place. If someone wants to use it, that's fine. But you don't have to spam every live game thread just because you don't like it. And no, I won't be using it the next time I play in a live game. So spam somewhere else.
