The C Leagues seem to have one too many players (22, not 21) or is it 6 too few and maybe some of us D Leagers will get promoted up to C League?

Well, if the Priemer, A, and B leagues keep as many holes as they have, a lot of folks are going to move up. But yeah, I count 22 listed under C as well.

And the past two seasons it has been one Premier, one A, two B, three C, and the rest in D.

Yeah, it has been that, but Ghost could add a 4th C league if he so chose for the faithful few who got promoted then demoted due to a family crisis. I had to drop out and came back to fill the roster and help out when the crisis was over. :-) and :-(. I hate losing my spot, but at least I was able to help the leagues continue when someone else had to drop.

Is that link not showing new people who've signed up?

I'm assuming that anyone who joins that hasn't been in the league before starts in the D league, right?

@Hellenic Riot, it isn't, no. You people will be taken first come first served, seeded and then put on the end of the list in D-level.

Has it been decided yet whether or not these games will be anom? I'd like to say once again that I feel the anom system works much better in these games as players can't play the numbers like they can if they know who you are.

If i recall correctly from the last conversation about it I think we decided that playing a league meant you are not playing a series of one-off dip games, you are competing with 6 others and trying to best them for league points - this means doing your best to play the numbers.

Also since you get to play the same 6 players in 4 games you get to know them and play to their strenghts and weaknesses - both would be lost by playing anon.

Personally, I am not in favour of anonymous games for the league.

I second that. I really enjoy getting to know the other players and don't think I'd get as much out of it if it was anonymous.

I like knowing my opponents in the league games so I agree, keep it standard.

That could promote people ganging up on someone because of a grudge etc.

I was actually going to change my mind and drop out, but now I've made it to B level... Maybe I should stay in... Only 4 games after all...

That's the point. Position is important and some limited (playing for position and targetting someone to stop them winning the league) is allowed. If you don't like it, KK, don't join the leagues.

Yes, the list linked above just shows the results of last season and whether those players have confirmed participation in this season.

I'm really looking forward to my first league season this year. It will be fun to get to know some new, quality players.

If there are players here that have not played in the league yet and are considering it, DO IT. It really is a very different way of playing and very enjoyable, especially when you have 2 or 3 games playing at the same time and each one has a bearing on the overall positions in the league, makes for some interesting internal debates.

Could somebody tell me what NMR stands for?

It means "No Moves Returned". It means that a player didn't enter any moves before the turn ended.

I think it stands for "No Move Received" on postal games, but the meaning is what Tantris said above.

What's the points buy-in for league games? I'd love to join but haven't built up a points buffer yet. Also, when will it start and how frequent are the games/how many are you likely to have to run concurrently?
