Yea, sorry espera, but backstabbing is an integral part of the game. Sure, some people don't do it in every game, but all good players do it at least occasionally. It's just part of the game.

Congratulations to mwalton for what must have been a good game.

Its never nice when you're stabbed, but it is part of the game. It's easy to blame the stabber for being a traitor to you, but usually it's our own fault for allowing ourselves to become so vulnerable to their stab in the first place.

LOL. Thanks for the laugh Espera. That's what the game is. Picture playing poker where no one ever bluffs. If thats the case, you might as well pay open face (where everyone sees everyone else's cards) and just play for the ante.

This is a game that involves deception. (I say deception, not lying, because there ARE some players who don't like lying, but are ok with being misleading. ) You got played by a better player - learn from it and move on.

Your post will make people avoid playing with YOU, not with mwalton.

i dont know about the rest of you but when i get backstabbed i am more angry at my self for not seeing it coming

ag7433, you do the lamest stabs ever. Years of obvious preparation, warning beforehand... terrible. Just terrible.

Espera...I think that when you start to understand the game better you will stop loosing so much.

Looking at just the game map, it doesn't look like a stab as much as a pretty straight-forward invasion.

@espara - you are playing this like a typical strategy based boardgame. this is a game of communication and you are playing in way too many at a time for good communication. You need to slow down and work to figure out your allies from your enemies. Find ways to point there assaults in other directions. Find "excuses" for you rmoves that put you near their SCs (I just did a Fall 01 stab on Austria as Italy that took two SCs from him and gave Italy a three build 1901). This si done through the diplomacy and is the essence of this game. Playing in nine games in less than two weeks is too much.

Yeah, I get it. I don't care for those who lie all the time, but it's totally kosher in this game. Me, my preferred style of play is "say 1000 things that are completely true, adding up to one big lie."
