What is the best way to reduce the amount of disinformation?
Call it fake news or whatever you want, but the dissemination of factually incorrect statements is a disservice to the electorate. We all like the first amendment and free speech, but once you have enough viewers/followers etc, should you be held to a higher standard of accuracy?

Ivanka Trump perfume
Yeah, I hear that it's number 1 on Amazon. But are the orders real? Are individuals buying it, or are there bulk orders from the Russians coming in? -- orders that will never be delivered (and even if they were, it takes only pennies to make perfume in China).

What is the best way to refresh game pages?
a simple browser refresh has the added problem of reposting the last message you sent over and over

also what is the point of 5 minute games if it takes 3 minutes for the server to actually change the page contents after orders have been processed.

Reliability Rating?
Why do people make games with RR of like 25% or even 50%? Do you really want someone in a game who misses 75% of their moves, or even 50%? I don't know what the usual reliability ratings are of players, but I'd hope they are basically all greater than 80%.

Question for Trump Supporters
This is a serious question for those of you who are supporting Trump. Back in January 2016, Trump said, "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters." And it certainly looks that way from the outside. So I'm curious...what things would Trump to do lose your support?

If you're not a Trump supporter, please refrain from telling the Trump supporters who respond about why they are wrong.

I'm definitely not a Trump supporter, I'm a critic.
I'd suggest there are quite a few Trump supporters, about 15% to 20% of those who voted for him, who would continue to support Trump NO MATTER what he did..literally... He could steal their money, molest their women & shoot their dog ..and they'd deny his guilt, deny his crimes & still support him ( I can imagine their excuses..he's invested our money, she asked for it & I never liked that dog anyways ..welcome to dumbnut county )

Remember even Bush had 29% support even after two disastrous wars, failing to prevent the most serious attack on Us soil, and plunged the US into the worst depression since 1929. That is probably a good measure of the number of Republucan dead enders. Then there is a chunk who won't turn on Trump because no matter what he does they won't believe it. We could find emails from Putin ordering Trump do destroy the US and have the Golden Showers sex tape released and have Trump launch nukes against Minneapolis and the Breitbart/Inforwars crowd would think it is fake. Frankly, we have seen based on the prisoner experiment and authoritarian regimes that a portion of any population is quite capable of brainwashing themselves at every step even to the point of stuffing 12 million people into gas ovens. This phenomenon of hyper allegiance trumping reality and decency is sadly a very well understood aspect of human psychology.

What would convince you not to vote for him again?
---
“War would be unforgivable.”

“If the Russia thing were true, I’d turn against him. Why don’t y’all focus on that instead of his tweets?”

“Give us a better option, and we’ll be happy. But it needs to be a moderate—Sanders won’t win.”

“I’ll happily vote for someone else. There’s a lot I hate about Trump. But our lives are basically destroyed, and he was the first person to talk about fixing that.”

“Generally hard to say. Extreme corruption would do it.”
(Second person in the same conversation: “I don’t care if he’s corrupt. Y’all voted for Hillary and she was the most corrupt candidate of all time.”)

“Another worry is an escalation of overreaches between him and the left that culminates in the breakdown of our system of law. I'd hold him responsible for that.”

“If he were to get the US involved in a major military conflict (I think the odds of this have actually decreased versus Hillary, but I'm willing to be proven wrong). If he were to substantially increase the cost of doing business (by increasing regulation or taxes for instance).”

“I'm socially very liberal. If he were to do something like restart a war on drugs, try to restrict rights of LGBT, or make first trimester abortions difficult or dangerous, I'd rethink my position. I think these type of things are extremely unlikely though, especially with an election a few years away the country as a whole becoming more socially liberal.”

“I think if 2008 happened again (further into Trump's tenure, so that causation can be shown, hypothetically), the base would evaporate.”

“Based on Trump's history before politics I don't believe he is racist, sexist, homophobic or bigoted. If that were true it would supersede everything else since it would be even worse for individual liberty and freedom than any freedom of speech restrictions or increases in government size proposed by the Democratic Party.”

Never used the word Trump. It's true the Moral Majority and pro-life single issue voters have flocked to the Republican Party. You cannot reason with single issue voters whose sens of moral duty compels them to do one single thing in the voting booth.

@pastoralan: what ND said.

Although Trump only has my support because the alternative is so appalling.

It's very very simple. A vote for the Republicans is for good.
A vote for Democrats is for degeneracy and disaster.

A serious question for @ND and @fielder, what policy reasons did you support Trump over Gary Johnson for? was it purely the capacity for him to win, or were there things that Trump said that won you over for him?
ND (879 D)
10 Mar 17 UTC
@Pastoralan: I don't know of any promises he has betrayed. He has only been in office for a month and a half. If he has one that you think he has betrayed please let me know.

@Hauta: Trump never colluded with the Russians. Unless you have concrete proof that Trump himself colluded then you have nothing.

@James: Gary Johnson was Hillary Clinton Lite. He betrayed the Libertarian Party and hopefully they run an actual libertarian next time.

Why was alcohol prohibited by federal amendment, when a mere federal LAW is sufficient to make marijuana illegal (notwithstanding the federal government's refusal to enforce it).

Is beurocracy and greed holding back the technological pioneer dream?
In the movie Tomorrowland, the character by the name of Hugo said, "Have you ever wondered what would happen, if all the geniuses, the artists, the scientists, the smartest, most creative people in the world decided to actually change it? Where, where could they even do such a thing? They'd need a place free from politics and bureaucracy, distractions, greed - a secret place where they could build whatever they were crazy enough to imagine..." read below

Am I rebellious?
People often seem to think of me as rebelling against a status quo, but I see that differently. I do what I can to follow the path that I perceive to be right and this path happens to lead away from where most paths lead. I happen to cross boundaries, breaking unwritten rules as I go. Rebellion, to me, is about removing and destroying things you disagree with. I don't destroy, I just follow my own rules without seeking conflict. Discuss..

Due to the lack of coherent discourse from Trump supporters, this thread will be used for people to argue the other side for a change. I expect types like Orathaic and Ogion and MM to argue FOR Trump's policies and for Fiedler and Capt_Brad and ssorenn to argue for the LIBS.
