Apparently my username doesn't seem to exist on vdiplomacy. I have tried contacting the mods about this but I have received no response months later. Does anyone here know what I can do, or if I am allowed to create another account identical to this one on vdip?
Ancient Civilizations are defined as those Civilizations having existed anytime before 400 AD. A civilization which began in 399AD and existed beyond 400AD will be considered "Ancient" for this Tournament. (Special Considerations will be made for New World Civilizations which may have started in up to 700AD) All nominations must be formatted: "##Nominate (Civ Name) : (A reputable source as proof of era) "

will only accept 16 total nominations. One nomination per participant, One Seconded nomination per participant. The 16 nominations with the most votes go through to tournament.
Demon RHK if you wish to nominate a specific subdivision that is allowed however it would not be counted as a second vote. So in theory you are better debating that that subdivision is a good reason for that entire civ to win. The tournament is meant to debate what civ was better (broadly, define the "better" part yourself this is meant to be fun not technical.) and by debate I mean discuss.
So, essentially you're saying this is like the greatest philosopher/general/etc threads where we each choose a Civ, there are head to head matchups and winner proceeds to the next round
My nomination is ancient Egyptian Culture. It's the one I know the most about, although some people who use this site may know more. The Article states the dates it existed as 8000BCE to 525BCE.
Did I do this correctly? If this is a discussion of ancient civilizations, I'm up for it bigtime.
##NOMINATE ROME Not that Byzantine sham though. I'm talking the good old pre-third century classics, before the crisis, and before Diocletian split it up.
(If we are over 8 and close enough to 16 but not there yet I may also take liberty to throw in several random civs that no one has mentioned to meet the 16 and flesh out the tourney.)
The rules stipulate that the ancient empire had to have existed before 400AD. The ERE was formed before 400AD and encompasses many periods of history including Justinian's reign.
we need more suggestions. tons of famous ones are still missing: Greece, Carthage, Sumeria, Indus Valley Civilization, and many more. Please come through with the suggestions.
That is true, and much better to have them separated rather than conjoined. More detailed discussion and then we may be privy to an Athens v Sparta discussion.
Oh and I overlooked gold fingers statement way at the start til just now; yes this is exactly like those but with civilizations. With the end goal being to start discussions about civilizations that otherwise the forum wouldn't have

How do you end a drawn game when 1 player doesn't vote to draw.
http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=180889#gamePanel I am playing France, the Italian player won't vote draw. Nobody has moved positions for maybe 4, 5 or 6 moves. It's a pain to keep entering the same set of orders, it is obviously a draw. What to do?

Modern Dip two possible CD Openings...but need quick help
Hello. I'd like to make known a Modern Dip game that I'm in that may require two extra players to fill in for possible CD's in the future.The game is called "The Kiss Hello". The game ID is 180855, but I'm unsure as to how to link it properly.
I really hate and tried of being stabbed all the time, there are so few players with honesty. I just want to play a game with tactics and conversations, is there any possibility that to enter a 5 vs 5 (or fewer) games?
