I'd love to play!

Roll20.net was already suggested to me, but so far I can't get the hang of it and it's clearly meant for RPGs, which my game isn't, so I'm not sure how suitable it is. I certainly don't rule out the likely possibility that I just can't handle it though..

If someone has the know-how and is willing to GM it, that would be awesome as well!

Worth mentioning is that lots of units can be stacked in the same territory, so easy splitting and merging could be useful as well.

What kind of volume and resolution are you looking for in a 3 printer? I have a Rep Rap Prussa i3 Wilson that can print 200x200x180mm that is semi apart at the moment but could get up and running in a week. I am in Michigan so it might not be the most cost effective with shipping.

@TheFallenAngel: I should absolutely remember that, but I actually got one at school now. It isn't great, but it'll do as far as the school project goes. When I take the leap towards the company-stuff, it could be something to think about..

@abge: Ah, I didn't want to bother you with too many questions, but that'd be great of course!

The first offline testing round, or more like an explaining round, has just been finished. We didn't get beyond turn one because it was inbetween two lessons. From what I could tell, they liked it and I've received some more advice (mostly on clarity and convenience). Good for a first hour I think.

I'm working on Dutch rules as well. Overall, I'm exhausted at the moment and after I rest, I have a new list of things to go through. Those who sent me a PM with their email address will be added to a list soon and will be notified by email when the first game starts.

4 online playtesters on the list. Crossed a bunch of offline things off the list.

Waiting for abge to teach me roll20 while updating the rules and creating a Dutch translation. I believe that's it for now. Maybe update my site too. Makes sense, a more central location for information..

Why is it unhealthy?

While its true that many genius level inventors and creative minds suffered from insomnia; they also lived shortened lifespans.

Naturally, humans only sleep in two-ish hour increments, so I'm fairly sure everyone's sleep habits are at least on some level unhealthy.

My intuition and logic has always dictated that sleeping more often but for shorter periods is better. However, I can see how having solid sleeping habits can be a benefit, but I just think that's unrealistic with the amount of sleep I need. I can't take a nap during the day at a solid timing and I can't go to bed that early every night either.

In essence, what I have now is a solid base amount at night with the occasional rest during the day to 'catch up'.

The plan is to start Saturday or Sunday. Approximately 24-36 hour phases, moving on faster if everyone's ready. I plan to be pretty loose on deadlines initially and see what's best from there.
