It does not matter if this role is revealed as long as the player selected is not revealed.

It does matter to some extent. Ideally Mafia kills them, but they won't do that if they're revealed.

Why would you make these claims as town? It seems more likely one of the scum fake roles meet these criteria.

Why make those claims as scum? I suggest we forget about them for a few days.

The only reason to make those claims at all was because rdrivera was considering shooting him, but to me it seems he would be more likely to do it as scum.

If that's the case, he will have to explain himself when the time comes. It makes no sense to ask him to explain himself now when, if the claims are true, they should remain as opaque as possible until it is time to reveal.

@Worcej: The role cop only becomes active on Night 4 onwards. That's why Percy's claim is particularly unfortunate.

Noted based on what xorxes said and me going back and finding the exact PM instead of using the role list, where it doesn't show it's for N4 and beyond.

Possible, but I do not think it is particularly likely he would that so quickly as scum when none of his scum teammates had claimed anything.

I am in the group of believing Hosuke could totally blurt out his scum 'fake claim' early without realizing the ramifications of it.

is it a wrong tactic to make Hosuke's mason claim? I think masons aren't on scum's menu given how there are tastier meats on the table

I'm a bit confused because it was mentioned how both masons can be mafia and I think this is fucked up, but also very unique if Neph chose it to be so

maybe Hosuke's partner isn't as tight-lipped as he is, dunno what to think of him

I have Hosuke as town based on the common knowledge that masonry is of town alignment in all mafia games

Not 'both masons can be mafia' - there may not be any Masons which Mafia would know allowing 2 fake claims.

However I think there are 2 Masons, therefore town, and I think I know who they are.

The only way Mafia would know there is not Masons is if they were given them as fake claims. Because of this, without being a grammar police officer, 'both masons can be mafia' is true if 2 of them received those fake claims.

Hosuke could 100% be mafia and just blurted his fake claim out. The only way to 'confirm' this is to have the other Mason speak out, which should not happen yet.

he tends to just thrust his read on something and tries to extinguish further discussion on a topic. if you disagree he just fits you into his scumreads.

it comes off as the grouchiest form of power wolfing where you dont leave any room for yourself to even be scrutinized.
