New Rule Regarding Game Press
Re: New Rule Regarding Game Press
I understand the part of the rule about Doxing, but I don't really get the sexual/racial part. Isn't that why we have a mute function?
Re: New Rule Regarding Game Press
So are you are saying that threats of physical violence are OK?
Would, "if I *ever* run into you IRL, you are going to regret it!", be a valid bit of diplomacy?
I doubt you would consider it to be, and that sentence contains only an implied threat.

Is it right , No!
Is it a reality, highly unlikely. Unless you already know the person
Anyone that bent up over a game, should off themselves. Be good for society in general. Lots of crazies in this world.

Re: New Rule Regarding Game Press
This site does not enforce an age requirement for signing up as we have no way to verify it, but we do have various members under the age of 18 and various school groups use this site. Sending sexually explicit messages to underage people is a crime, and as such something we're not interested in allowing.
While being racist or bigoted towards groups of people is not illegal in all places, we view it as morally abhorrent and if you feel the desire to target people for their race or color then I apologize but you will have to go elsewhere to do it.

Re: New Rule Regarding Game Press
I had thought our current rules covered this, but reading through them it appears they don't. So this is something we'll need to go back to and consider. We have unfortunately had people try and arrange physical fights through this site, so while uncommon it does probably need to be addressed.
Re: New Rule Regarding Game Press
Physical threats are never permitted, and that was part of the old unwritten rule on this matter. We'll update that as well.
Re: New Rule Regarding Game Press
I have physically assaulted multiple people on this website, apparently.

Just to clarify a little more: I often make "remove kebab" jokes when I'm fighting against Turkey. Is this still kosher, or am I not allowed to say things like that anymore?

I'd hope it was allowed. Part of the fun of the game for many people is getting into character, and it'd be a damned shame if the rules meant you couldn't tell the Frogs you thought the Hun was a bit of a sour Kraut.

If you're a French player trying to get England onside for a German invasion, could you say, for example:
"I'll make sure of Burgundy and try and get Italy onside. You do the same with Russia and get into position for the convoy. And then it's squareheads down for the big Bosch gangbang! Huzzah!"

Ah, yes. I'm sure the poor, oppressed Ogion has a brutal and horrible history of being murdered.Ogion wrote: ↑Fri Nov 09, 2018 6:24 amOh, just the use of the usual homophobic slurs. You know the one, and I won't repeat it. There wer some sexist ones as well. I reported them. The moderator shrugged. I surrendered my games and left their damn tournament.
I find that people who have been subject to a history like onself being murdered and oppressed for who they are have a little less tolerant attitude toward this kind of casual bigotry. And of course all decent people with a modest level of empathy. They also are sick and tired of the bullshit.

Idk why I thought Leon1122 would be more of a grown up when he returned. Like a really big time skip with lots of character development

Glad to see everyone's still getting along.
In all seriousness, though, I trust the mods to do the best they can in managing this site on their own free time, and to effectively deal with players who harm the community (regardless of the exact wording of various rules).
