Scratched, although you're thinking along the right lines (not saying the sport is correct, but it is a sport that is also an art).

We are at 19 questions, I think, so now is the time for guessers to use their free guess if they have not yet done so.

Congratulations!
I was hoping her diplomatic career (she's currently the US ambassador to Belize) would be relevant in one of the questions, but it didn't. For the record I passed on the television question because any well-known athlete in the modern era is arguably famous for "appearing on television" but it's unclear if that really counts.
Incidentally, she does have a notable ex-husband, but Clay Pell is definitely less famous than she is.

Whoop!
It was when it was narrowed down to an individual sport that some people describe as an art form that I suddenly guessed it was probably a figure skater.

Plus I noticed that despite being one of the most famous US figure skaters of the last 40 years, she did not win an Olympic Gold (but she did win Silver and Bronze).

I figure this is because you have more free time now that you are dead.

I was actually surprised to find that out.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 10:13 pmPlus I noticed that despite being one of the most famous US figure skaters of the last 40 years, she did not win an Olympic Gold (but she did win Silver and Bronze).
(Also, and this is a bit trivial, sorry for the grammatical mismatch in my earlier post. The problems with partially editing a sentence without going back to check the entire post.)
