Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Ruminations of a Tree Stump, Part 1:
Oh, ghug! My fallen friend, my faithful buddy, the man in front of the curtain who did not know he was there. I miss you, my friend, and the safety and protection you afforded me. Me, a lowly tree stump, who had no great desire for wanton killing and deception.
I did not conspire to your death. No, I was astonished and saddened by it! I had hoped in the final moments, to have you stand arm-in-arm and side-by-side as we plunged a knife together into the heart of an innocent bystander, expecting victory. Only then would I turn to my dear friend and whisper...
"Really stumped you on this one, huh?"

Sorry I can't post this closer to the EON, but life calls:
If I die tonight:
1) I expect 2-3 of the remaining scumteam are in damo, dargo, jimbo (jamie), and macca (in alphabetical order) (look to my old posts for my reasoning.)
2) I suggest looking at chaqa's post for intel. Not surface level, but dig deep to what he's crumbing by accident. You'll probably learn something.
3) Don't completely clear the others (kgray/rdr). If dargo or jimbo are scum, then they may have faked the whole EOD issue with rdr. I could easily see scum buying one of theirs credit for a deep run that way as opposed to trying to win yesterday. I could easily see that team specifically playing that way.
4) Good luck!
If I live tonight:
You'll be lucky enough to hear what conclusions I draw from the NK.

In the unlikely scenario I die tonight, kill Kgray tomorrow. Then the last two scum are between Trackers and UB.
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Ran out of time to write up anything substantial and I also haven't reread anything.
I think (at least) one of darg/Jamie has to be scum. I don't see another way to explain me being RB'd when Vecna was killed.
Macca continues to post "townslips" and although they admit they haven't been reading the thread I think it's getting more and more forced. Not a fan of the way they call out darg and I without actually catching up, or the fact that they didn't question Jamie's Rivera vote also.
I didn't like Bunny's EoD, he didn't seem at all like someone who was concerned about losing the game. Also wondering if his comment that he "can't move anymore" was a signal to his team.
I don't understand why damo thinks Jamie is now locktown but darg looks really sketchy. And the fact that he was awol/uninvested for a lot of yesterday including EOD is really suspicious.
Rivera looks pretty good to me, but not entirely clear because I don't think both darg and Jamie are town so I don't think he was as close to being the kill as I thought. He could also be scum with Bunny and/or damo.
Saving myself tonight, so if I die and neither of darg/Jamie admit to visiting me then either one of them is scum or mafia used another RB.

Flavor:
The Mastermind pans his eyes back and forth between screens, intentionally skipping the screen that has the one hunter stuck in a tree screaming for bad mexican fast food owned. The screens show nothing as the night proceeds to the next morning.
No one has died.
Day 6 has begun. You may now post.

Why did you think it was unlikely you'd die tonight? I thought you'd be the most likely NK target.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:59 pmIn the unlikely scenario I die tonight, kill Kgray tomorrow. Then the last two scum are between Trackers and UB.

Well then this is very interesting.
I targeted Rdrivera for my protection.
I was not roleblocked. No fruit was involved either, it appears.
Rdrivera was not attacked.
Now, if you targeted yourself, as you said just at the deadline, then the only conclusion is that the Mafia did not attempt to kill anyone last night.

This implies a number of possibilities.
One of them is ironically so tragic for town I wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry if it turned out to be true. Omg.

Yeah they must have held it. Presumably it's because they needed credits, right? Why else would they do it?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:30 pmThis implies a number of possibilities.

And what is your tragic possibility...?

Well if they needed the credits then it implies the double roleblock the night before took them into debt.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:32 pmYeah they must have held it. That, if correct, would mean that the Mafia needed Chaqa to die yesterday, and that if a Townie had been daykilled instead of Chaqa, Mafia would have lost and Town would have won.
There are a lot of "ifs" in that scenario but you have to admit there'd be a strange irony to us winning like that.

They auto-lose if a Mafia is killed while they're in negative equity.
"The mafia cash balance can go negative, but if any mafia player is day-murdered-by-vote when the team has a negative balance, the entire mafia team loses the game and town immediately wins (unless an SK is present)."
Silly me. So we know that at the point of Chaqa's death they weren't in a negative balance.
So.... what did they need the credits for?
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Where do you get that from? Why would killing a town have caused Mafia to lose? If they were negative and scum!Chaqa died, they'd have lost. So I think they can't have been negative yesterday... Right?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:35 pmWell if they needed the credits then it implies the double roleblock the night before took them into debt.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:32 pmYeah they must have held it. So why did they hold the kill? Building up credits for one last double roleblock?
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Well if we each are town and protect ourselves then they can't kill us without a RB. If town has a doc left, does that change mylo/kilo numbers?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:41 pmRight.
