Hmm...
I was very surprised to see Neph's anger. Brainbomb's I thought was legit. This I'm not so sure.
You think Neph seems angry?
To call me a primitive form of a giraffe after I acknowledged his work very well may have gotten in the way. I'm not positive, but yeah, I thought there was some anger there.

I think he was being sarcastic and maybe frustrated, but I didn't pick up on anger. Since you did, though - do you Neph being angry in this scenario would be alignment-indicative?

I'm a sucker for this shit. It caused me to claim in M55. I think Neph is more likely town than I did moments after the end of Night 1. His last two messages "hurr durr I forgot I was playing a game" "i'll check in in a few hours" were sketchy as hell in my mind. Hence my wanting to know. Eventually scum will nail me and I'll harden up. But yeah, I think Neph is town.

Neph was trolly as fuck in the previous game. Xorxes was trolling at this point.
Yeah but I think Neph was agreeing with rdr that xorxes was being funny, so Neph was in on the trolling.
ahh yes I missed that. rdr saw it right away.

Fine. I aimed at EMC's corpse, whoever inherits that spot, because I wanted a lower post count but not a huge lurker.
You immediately vote me. You had 7 minutes to get your shot in on me. I'm sorry, I forgot that I'm a huge lurker.
I put my order in during the day - instant night phases yo.
When during D1 did you order the shot of emc? Are you able to change your shot after it has been ordered? If so, did you consider changing your order at EOD?

Towny:

bozo - I don't thing he puts in all this effort as scum especially this early
rivera - starnge for me to townread him, but when he gets all huffy and puffy he is very likely town
emc - good observations that I associate with his town self
Tom - being sensible

Leftovers:

kgray - possibly town (she's playing nothing like she played as scum)
summit - possibly town. He was very suspicious of me most of last game, so his attitude this game fits with what I know of him.
Neph - nothing really

Heebie jeebies:

damo - him scumreading me this early is highly unusual, I don't recall it ever happening before even when I was scum, and certainly not when I'm town
Chaqa - he is not saying anything, and what he says I don't like
worcej - his vote for me, yikes, especially after what he said a couple of posts earlier

Scummy:

foocoats - his case on me is way too elaborate for the scant material he had to work with. I don't believe he actually misread the tone of my vote for Neph as badly as he portrays
This was the first time you indicated any suspicion of damo or worcej. It seems convenient that you started suspecting your top 2 counter wagons 2 hours before EOD.

No, I don't think emc was/is the Tough Guy, I was townreading him. But you wanted to kill him, so it's weird that you are not even considering that as a possibility.
I am not saying it's impossible, it's just rather low odds. We can figure this out quickly at any point if the other Vig actually attempts a shot and if they fail or not.
If you tried to shoot emc, then you must have thought he was scum, no? So then it'd be a 1/3 chance that he's the tough guy. And you said yourself that there was very little chance that either you or emc were commuted, or that you were roleblocked. So I really don't see why you think the odds of emc being tough guy are so low.
Silly reasoning. It's only 1/3 if he KNOWS emc is scum.

Damo was scum in the game with the second quote. But these are pretty different scenarios. In that game I had misread what someone (bozo?) said and got things backwards. Here, I'm not misunderstanding anything - damo is literally saying he's not going to read the thread. Obviously I think that's scummy but I'm not sure how these two situations are related.
Both posts are atypically discourteous for damo, to the point where I am not sure if he was joking.
Expression of frustration, that's all.
Are you referring to the post in this game or from M55, or both? Was it fake frustration in M55 and real frustration this game?

Attempting to mimic his town game last time. Scum!

##Vote Nephthys
Catchup spam commencing.

Relating this to the comment that Chaqa made when I replaced in (both the chipotle and his subsequent "he caught me guys").

Tone first impression is that seems very different from last game. Much more gotcha types of posts. Snappy-er instead of trying to rally town

Assuming

1 worcej is town due to claim
2 Neph is town else he would have caused lynch
3 Vecna is town because scumemc would have made an effort to vote

then

if Xorxes is town with me scum were presumably all on one wagon giving only 2 possible scum teams, namely

food Bozo Chaqa OR kgray Tom summit

If Xorxes is scum his team mates must be 2 from kgray Tom and summit.

Therefore logically I must ##vote Xorxes

Assuming I am correct then whichever way he flips we are only one mislynch away from victory.

Hopefully game is solved.

@Xorxes sorry if you're town but if you are you will be happy with my logic.

Agreed. ##Vote damo
This also reads as a very bad reason to vote Damo. !scum damo would have no real expectation of lynching Xorxes like this. Tombombs reasoning looks more like "sound-good" reasoning than proper reasoning. Chaqa not arguing it but latching on without intent to prod Damo feels cheese.

Why? I doubt he thinks anyone will follow him onto xorxes based on that reasoning, and he's basically forcing himself to change his vote when xorxes starts posting. This would be a really terrible way to try to get a xorxes wagon going.
See, this is what Town Chaqa should have been thinking. Major townpoints for Kgray.

Let me tell ya, I enjoy a nice big game of mafia, but I really enjoy showing up three hours late and not having 10+ pages to catch up on.

Before I read... worcej, I did not get a chance to comment in the M55 thread at the end, but I really enjoyed the game. I entered it as someone with a baseless bias against mechanics and left with a very healthy appreciation for how important mechanical analysis can be. I think I'm a better Mafia player for it.

As a token of my appreciation, have a vote:

##VOTE worcej
You mean the mechanical analysis which allowed me to lead a bunch of mislynches on town?
foodcoats wrote:

It seems probable that in the mini-flashwagon against damo for making a silly, convoluted joke, one of worcej or Chaqa is scum. Only so many townies are going to be so blatantly opportunistic.

Between them, Chaqa's bald agreement looks a lot scummier - worcej just seems to be riffing on the joke. Chaqa also voted Nephthys for playing up the same playstyle as last game. Seems like scum trying to make something stick.

##VOTE Chaqa
Also liking this post for thinking the same thing. The nephtys thing looked like classic SvS "joking" that certain players just love to do.

Excellent point, kgray.

It's actually quite odd that Tom is immediately adamant in this read.

No need to go crazy, emc. But would you consider voting more frequently? It is your main weapon - if you are town.

Why don't you vote for someone when you reply to this post, and say why you are doing it.

To answer kgray:

I find (this is anecdotal- tbh I don’t know if the facts back this up or not, but I think they would) that even in joke phases, wagons can get started and stick. Let’s say two people followed onto xorxes. He becomes a wagon even if damo comes off.

It strikes me as odd that he moved from the bottom of the list up, and xorxes happens to be a player sum would LOVE to have mislynch Ed if he is town.

And even if xorx doesn’t get lynched, he becomes a wagon and anyone who is a wagon D1 will get the “someone protected his wagon” come d2.

Further if you are skeptical that people would follow damo and vote xorx, look how quickly people followed me onto damo
This reasoning could go either way for allignment. If youre really town and this is your reaosning, why not wait and see if Damo indeed sticks and tries to make this happen? Could also be over explanatory scum. No read yet.
