Why is [spoiler] bb code not allowed?

I can understand the argument on images being disallowed; but spoiler is about the most common feature on every forum. Why is it disabled here

It's quite simple, really. The [spoiler] bb code is disabled on the new forum but there's no immediately obvious reason as to why.

Nope, I haven't the foggiest idea either

At a guess it probably has something to do with the hidden section of posts that can be revealed only by poking it. So if I wanted to waste everyone's time by talking about Formula 1 I could write:

"Did you see the race today?"

And then, in the hidden bit so it didn't spoil the result for people waiting for the highlights

"They went round and round in circles for two hours until everyone at home fell asleep, Hamilton won, Bottas didn't really do anything, and Vettel made a tit of himself"

But on webDip apparently you can't

"Spoiler" as anyone who remembers River Song knows, is a bad word. {insert spoiler about spoiler here... those who remember River Song would know exactly what poignant and cutesy filled with innuendo comment or gif should be inserted.}

You guys spent 15 years worth of donor money to add this forum.
you cant post images but 999.9999% of the internet can
and you cant do spoilers which is really simple bb code that is literally just a click of a button feature to turn on.

and yet you have URL linking, which is the most likely way someone could link to malware, or to a bad site, or something vile.

turn off the url linking, images are literally not gonna get you a virus, a link will.

but url linking is how we get to games, and link to game ID's

okay, hire more mods, and make the forum worth the money you invested into it. actually use the FREE features you can literally just turn on with the click of a button.
