Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
I'm not seeking pity, just laughing at the potential outcome of suddenly me dying in an hour like normal D1 kills seems to happen lol
I honestly want to kill Balki right now - on my read, I felt he was far more performative today and almost whiny for no real reason. I feel like he tried to trap food with the bad commentary because it clearly came off that he was assuming he's bad atm
Jaime's reaction to sweet's move was a little over the top as well, but I don't think he'd be so opportunistic as scum. I lean more null on him, but it was rather meh from my standpoint.
I'm also not in the mood to flip Bona - I think he's clearly town and his parlay with will was exceptionally townie to me.
Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
I dont think this is particularly true, but I think he's town

Seconding this - Damo is normally not a driver of any sort on D1, but will lurk and ensure he doesn't die as any alignmentrdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:47 pmCould you point me a game where Damo was helpful on D1? I won't quote it to keep the thread small, but I liked Sweet reads wall. Not that I agree with everything but I balanced my head on approval some times.

If players aren't helping, and aren't expressing their thoughts, I am happy to vote for them. I'm happy to vote for you too frankly.

I really don't get this list. Why Bunny and HB? They look towny to me.

Why does approving the reads make the dude himself town though?rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:51 pmI won't quote it to keep the thread small, but I liked Sweet reads wall. Not that I agree with everything but I balanced my head on approval some times.

This is such a ridiculous piece of conventional wisdom and accepted norm on this site. Y'all should kill people who aren't helping and aren't expressing. Don't give people a pass for it.worcej wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:50 pmSeconding this - Damo is normally not a driver of any sort on D1, but will lurk and ensure he doesn't die as any alignmentrdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:47 pmCould you point me a game where Damo was helpful on D1? Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Why did you think pirates was voting food, the vote at the time was on sweet.
It reads like you trusted food and didnt understand why pirate would be voting food there. Am I correct? Or did you mean to type sweet?
Well, I grew up in the fallout from the riots in the '90s
Static cranes stand lifeless, castin' shadows on the town
I stare out that hallowed ocean as if to pick a fight
For thе dreams my old man dreamt for me lay on thе other side, yeah

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
I am cool with foodcoats or Damo.
I'm suspicious of Vecna.
The Bona wagon seems to be a reaction to his style. There are differing views on whether this is "just how he always is" or it's some scumtell. I don't really feel like I can weigh in on that intelligently, so I'm just going to kind of ignore the wagon. I don't really want to vote there.
Anyone else want to sell me something?

My point is not that he is helping but that he (and me too) always play this way and I don't remember you making this kind of policy voting on D1 before.
Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
How on earth does HB look towny to anyone? I heard 1 person say they sound happy, and thats the only reasoning I heard so far.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:52 pmI really don't get this list. Why Bunny and HB? They look towny to me.
Ive talked about the bunny read in-depth. Dude was way too fast to pass off a TR on me just because I pointed out he missed a single post number. Then he sheeped me twice on scummy people, in such a way as he set them up for justifiable future votes. Then he used another overly simplistic reason to TR me later on. All felt very artificial to me, but im sure its one of those occasions where you only notice it if it involves you.
Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
I agree in general with the sentiment that people here have a major error of shielding certain players D1 "because they're better later." It's really dumb. That said I'm not so sure about damo anymore... and I don't think I'd vote for him now.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:54 pmThis is such a ridiculous piece of conventional wisdom and accepted norm on this site. Yeah, I don't think I have policy voted a Day 1 lurker before. But, ya know, maybe I want to do it this game.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:59 pmGo for it.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:51 pmNo, but I don't like that defense.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:47 pm

I don't like "yeah he's always unhelpful as either alignment" defense, especially in a game like this one when we have a real shortage of people invested.

Because scum providing fake reads are usually really bad. I am not aproving the reads but the way he wrote it looks natural not fake.Vecna wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:53 pmWhy does approving the reads make the dude himself town though?rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:51 pmI won't quote it to keep the thread small, but I liked Sweet reads wall.
