Hello everyone,
I‘m new to this site (and already frustrated).
Is it a bug, that I can join either no games at all, or just one on ones or games that consume all my points?
The reason I can’t join other games seems to be my “reliability rating“.
There are only 50% or higher games and apparently one starts out with 0.
Talk about assuming the best in people
Is there a way around this? How long does it take to gain reliability?
I just want to play and not be held back by some weird non-game mechanic tbh.
Thanks for reading

Hi Manly Elephant,
In response to your question, all users begin with the reliability rating of 1% automatically. Once you play a single phase (entering in your orders once), your reliability goes up to 100% and stays that way assuming you don't miss any phases in the future. Assuming you join games with excused turns, you will get an excuse per game which will not hurt your reliability rating as much if you miss orders, and the phase will reset to allow you to enter in moves! If you do not enter in orders with no excuses remaining, or you miss orders in a game with no excused turns, you will face a 28-day penalty of 6%, and a yearly penalty of 5% to your reliability rating. Be sure to avoid this as much as you can!
Live games are a great way to improve your reliability rating quickly. Playing a two-player variant such as FvA and GvI are commonly played live, and they usually have a low-reliability requirement. I'd personally be happy to play with you if you send me a PM!
But overall, welcome to the site! Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

I am in the same position. Joined yesterday.
I can understand the need for reliability but perhaps offer one 'wildcard' for newcomers to enter a first game.
