Re: Site Loading Incredibly Slow
I wonder if anyone has a grudge against the site or has some reason to want to cause trouble.. hmmm.. I think Hong Kong is controlled by China now, and a DDoS attack could be a crude attempt to censor the site by blocking requests. Of course I'm just guessing, and there's a very narrow possibility ...

When 2 novel series have a fight, the real winner is the one holding their covers for them, that is Narnia.

A battle between them would resemble a fight between a Spanish Galleon and a a modern oil tanker whose only weapon is the ability to ram. After the first amusing hour the following weeks would get pretty damned tedious. Oil tankers can't take much punishment, so the galleon would likely win in spit...

Re: Can no longer use [url] tag in the forum
I'm not sure when this change happened, but as someone who has been having to ban hammer these spammers I'm pretty supportive of it. The problem with the URL tags is that you can disguise a link as something else - hide it in a punctuation mark for example - and that's always what they do. Wouldn't...

Re: Can no longer use [url] tag in the forum
I assume this was done to prevent bots spamming links? That is my understanding... what little understanding I am able to bring to the table. A lot of things were done to combat the bot invasions. I regret this 'loss,' too. It doesn't even stop them from spamming urls. For example: https://www.webd...

Why wouldn't God have also kept the Germans who became Nazis on track if he has this power? What a terrible thing it would be for God to save only "his own" from the fate of becoming genocidal murders - what did the ones who became Nazis do to deserve this punishment? Why weren't all Germans "his o...

Re: Jesus was a Socialist
I truly believe that if all of those people in my world were in a situation like the German citizens in World War 2, a large majority of them would have fallen prey to the same propaganda and participated in or turned a blind eye to the same atrocities that the German citizens did at the time. I th...

What do you think it means to put God in all aspects of your life? What does it mean to you that "he shall direct thy paths"? For example: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. -- John 14...

The bible seems to be pro slavery as well as there is never mentions of denouncing slavery or even meth usage The purpose of the Bible is to guide us to the eternal life. The guidance it gives is still relevant in various situations, but that doesn't mean that we should try to recreate the world in...

If vanity industry has deep pockets because people try to fill their empty lives with sports and stuff, the solution isn't a reform, but giving them an alternative: HO, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk wit...

You think God is loving, but you think the only way to make people behave is to have them be terrified of him. So do I, and I see only one way to it, as there will be wars at least as long as people fear one another more than God.CaptainFritz28 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 10:51 pmI want world peace and the end of all wars forever, for what it's worth.
