Shit lads, Oct has been talking to Q-anon! He knows all about our secret plan we'll need to silence him.

They were the perfect distance from each other until a rogue developer decide to interfere, leading inevitably to the decline in live games, election of Trump, and Brexit.

I think they are too far apart.

Thought I was coming here for a fun discussion about how far apart the buttons were. Turns out you guys actually had a real conversation, congrats.

I also would like to see "InteractiveMap-OrderInterface" option here. It's a very good option at vDip.

If you can find me the PR Oli used to fix it, I can probably add it in.

The preview button is too close to the other buttons, though. ;-)

And it's fixed on vDip. :eyeroll:

Why are the save and ready buttons so close together?
Lol, nope, nope, nope. I fixed this a while ago, lets not go there again.

The best, and always accurate, way to see what has been changed is https://github.com/kestasjk/webDiplomac ... s%3Aclosed which shows all code requests that A_Tin_Can or Kestas have approved and made live.

Claeser didn't know about the preview page!? I hold jmo entirely responsible for this outrage, and demand justice!

I had no idea we had a recent updates page, and judging by the last entry not many others do either :P

Honestly, the mod team needs Diplomacy training just as badly as we need moderator training. Case in point: me.

It looks like previews were implemented in December 2014:

So Claesar, no excuse! And to think that you're a mod too. Tsk tsk tsk.

Kingdroid: It wasn't around when we joined.

I didn't even know there was a preview feature. Thats helpful

Re: The save and ready buttons

"Save" is useful for testing your moves; when you hit the little green checkmark under the map, you can see what all of your orders will do on the map. This allows you to check to see that your orders are doing what you expected them to do without committing them if they were wrong. This is why "I made the wrong order, didn't expect that, sorry" is usually a lie, as the "preview" feature will show you exactly what your orders will do.
Then, "Ready" commits the orders, so that if everyone else is "ready" the turn will process.

Correct. For example, I very rarely ever use the ready button.

Pressing the ready button is deeply recommended though, as it will move the game along faster if everyone does the same
