My goal was to go with somebody famous, but outside the radar of most people here. I was worried for a bit that I had gone too obscure, but you all got there in the end.

Getting over 100,000,000 TikTok followers is certainly an achievement in technology, but it's not really part of what STEM usually refers to, so I wasn't sure how to answer that one.
This was a very fun round. Good choice.

I'll throw out my guess then: Charli D'Amelio?
Congratulations on your first win!

Thank you! Next game will be up soon!

That also looks like a good guess.

interesting, interesting. i do agree that this person, while perhaps not directly a youtuber or tiktoker, is in some way an influencer. and thus, the hunt is on.

I will say that she is not a meme (although that would have been hilarious) but Spartaculous is on the right track about her role in "technology".

And she is very well-known, but admittedly probably not as much among webDiplomacy users.
My next thought is that she is a YouTocker or TikTuber or something like that. Just to keep the game moving I will guess Addison Rae.

Now that you've asked that one, zero.

Just kidding. One question left.

I think it may be somebody still at school of some sort hence the pass but I wouldn't have a clue who so cannot guess.

I've a feeling she is not well known in UK.

I would like to throw this out for consideration (random thoughts running through my head, maybe something that can help someone...): perhaps the passed STEM question relates to what the person is most known for? Like a person who may have written or otherwise helped publish a major STEM-related text book, but didn't do any actual research themselves? of course, a writer is incorrect, but perhaps something similar?
something like this could potentially illicit a pass; they are known for the book, a major contribution, but since they never added anything of substance to it, perhaps there's a gray area? and it could go with the other answers; they themselves did not contribute anything to those STEM fields.
Here is my contribution: I was browsing some lists of people born after 1999, and ended up very nearly guessing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Side_Eyeing_Chloe. This would have mostly been because it would have been hilarious, but she checks nearly all of the boxes: age, US citizen, seems to have had a minor acting career. Would being subject of a meme take care of the "T" in "STEM"?

The only thing that stops me from guessing her is, of course, the "e" in her first name.
interesting idea! I'd like to also throw out for consideration the topic of activism. It is possible that our mystery person has previously advocated for various aspects of STEM/STEM participation, and is known in that regard?

(Except kingofthepirates because of the two in a row rule--you'll have to wait until someone else has asked the twentieth question.)
I believe I can throw out my free guess once someone else uses theirs as well (that is how i understand rule 6, please correct me if wrong)?
You're right, sorry. I wasn't thinking that through.

Either way, I'll give people some time for some guesses before I answer Question #20.

I'd vote to allow our pirate king to make a free guess once someone else makes a free guess - I think the spirit is to prevent someone from asking two questions and then guessing in quick succession, which is avoided by having someone else guess.

One question left (that last one was a good one, though). Get your free guesses in.
