There's a gameplay guide here. No need to be online right at game start. For both high-posters and low-posters, the real key to success is to keep engaged with the thread and other players! It's a marathon, not a sprint ;)

Jamiet has been modkilled for inappropriate language.

It is currently 1:30 PM ET for me. If there are 9 players in 3.5 hours (5PM ET) I'll run a very minigame. 7 town, including a doctor and a one-shot cop; 2 mafia with a factional roleblock, each with a one-use godfather power to appear innocent if scanned. 48-hour day 1 starting at 6PM, followed by 16 hour nights (EON 10AM ET) and 32 hour days (EOD 6PM ET).

My caveat is it has been years since I participated in such a game, never mind in an online format, so... I'd be worried about writing something I shouldn't, etc. If that's a hassle, then I will willingly step out.
