17 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 2000: [Argentina]:Hi all, have fun & good luck.
17 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 2000: [Ghana]:Good luck, everyone, and good game
18 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 2000: [Near-East]:Likewise!!! Enjoy
24 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2007: [Argentina]:OMG. I forgot to finish my orders off!!!!
27 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2008: [Argentina]:I do not believe it, I did it again!!!!
03 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 2010: [Argentina]:Who ever the anonymous player of Western-Canada is, he should be banned for life from all games on this site!!!
His leaving has totally unbalanced the game which was developing into a real dog fight & was giving a great deal of pleasure to all.
How do the rest of you feel?
I am going to propose we vote DRAW or Cancel.
03 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 2010: [Argentina]:I take it Russia & Near-East have chosen to take the unfair benifit given to them via Western-Canada.
You are supposed to earn victory not be given it by outside parties improper actions.
03 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 2010: [Near-East]:Do you really think that USA and Brazil deserve a draw?
03 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 2010: [Near-East]:It is not my fault Western Canada went away and in any case it only accelerates the unavoidable. Russia's position was far better than Canada's and it was only a matter of time before the Canadian empire fell. The balance of power has not yet shifted as the real battle is being fought in the south very far away from Canada.
03 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 2010: [Argentina]:Before, I could match your growth rate. Now I can't.
Russia will grow rapidly & you & I are gridlocked.
The difference is that Russia is an extension of you.
Would you think the same if it was me allied to Russia?
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [Russia]:as there are such a lot of discussions i will also join it:
i agree with you argentina that there is now a perfect situation for me in canada
i agree with you near-east that we should eliminate brazil at least
a possible solution will be that we eliminate canada togehter to get him out of the distribution of points
but from my side - it is only a game - and before having a dispute we can also have a draw right now
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [India]:bahhhhhhhh i want to see some blood!! come on guys! take it till the end...
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:The points mean nothing to me. It is the quality of the game & the players that is important & how we manipulate & co-operate with each other.
Thats how you get a result. This game no longer provides me with that opportunity so there is no pleasure or satisfaction to be derived from it due to Western-Canada leaving.
It is unbalanced & no ammount of negotiation on my part can enable me to correct that.
I will happily cede a win to you both, but I see no point or pleasure left in this game for me other than making a long drawn out strategic defence, with a fruitless outcome.
Like Italy I enjoy a good fight but the only blood being spilt will be mine.
Before Western Canada left, I still had a losing hand but working with W/C & Kenya would have given me a challenge with an outside possibility of a result.
Now there is none.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [Near-East]:Take Brazil out of the distribution. He certainly doesn't deserve anything. USA as well doesn't deserve it. Once both are out I'll draw. I do agree that both Kenya and Argentina deserve to be in on it.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:That seems reasonable to me, but how do we achieve that?
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [Near-East]:Either we come to an agreement not to attack each other and get rid of those two cooperating (the fast way) or we keep fighting each other until we get rid of them both (the long way). I prefer the fast way of course, but don't know if it is possible. Either way, however, I think we will have to wait until after this year is over, since there is too little time left for everyone to act accordingly.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:I agree, we can begin the quick way next season. (shame this was a really good game).
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [USA]:Or Russia and Argentina can ally up to defeat Near East. The only reason Near East doesn't want to draw is that Russia is his ally and Argentina has no ally. If the tables were reversed, Near East would be begging for a draw right about now.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [USA]:Near East is basically telling Russia and Argentina to stop fighting and kill me and brazil. Which is fine, but if Russia and Argentina are going to ally up , why stop there? You two can easily kill Near East - Argentina already has the positioning to do so. Looks like Kenya is already taking 2 of Near East's supply depots this autumn so with 2 fewer units he can go down just as easily as Brazil and myself. Either we all draw now or Russia/Argentina should ally up and win the game between themselves. Near East shouldn't have a say in this matter because what he is proposing is just as bad for himself.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2010: [USA]:I don't really care if I lose this game because I only lost when I missed a crucial turn near the beginning due to traveling for the holidays. But I don't think Near East deserves a draw if Russia/Argentina decide to ally up because he is talking from his high horse only because Russia is currently his ally. Like I said, if Russia/Argentina stop fighting to take out me + brazil then they should continue their alliance and kill Near East. Let's see if he draws then when his high horse topples.
