03 Apr 21 UTC [Kenya]:Good game guys! That was a lot of fun!

Libya, thank you for being a good ally most of the game. I only moved on you when I thought you were mobilizing to move on me.

Russia, sorry about Victoria. I was initially trying to get into as many continents as I could before attempting a solo run, but when hostility between Libya and I broke out, I figured that there was no more chance of soloing, so I went to try to top the board. With everyone else having entered "draw" it gave me the advantage to pick the end of the match!

Brazil, sorry I went for you. I just wanted to get a foothold on as many continents as I could, seeing that the area is a bottleneck.

Good game, you all played well.
03 Apr 21 UTC [Libya]:Good game all! Thanks for being a staunch ally Kenya. Had no hostile thoughts till you forced yourself into CAR a few turns ago and you could've finished me early games many times. Thanks!
03 Apr 21 UTC [Pacific-Russia]:Good game, folks!

No offense taken, Kenya, I would probably have done the same in your position. If I'd started getting the fleets out a year or two earlier, perhaps it would have been me pinning USA back against their coast rather than the other way round... ;)

To be honest, I wasn't really intending to be leading the board for most of the game as I normally think that puts a target on your back, but it just seemed to happen as things snowballed through China/India/Russia - it always felt like there was one more country that I was at war with and needed to defeat for my own defence.

I had slightly hoped to hold onto it for the draw, but USA was stuck too tightly to my coasts and I just couldn't seem to shift them, no matter how many fleets I pumped out, so I couldn't spare the fleets to go south to face you either.

Thanks to Libya for staying a good ally to the end - with USA swarming my west and Kenya beginning to attack my south, I was a little worried that you would begin pushing into Europe/Asia and try to make it a three-way. Of the four of us, I feel I definitely had the weakest position. I'm not sure yet how much was due to geography, how much due to the political situation and how much I could have improved with better positioning.

Anyway, thanks for a great game!
03 Apr 21 UTC [USA]:GG all.

I had such a miserable start, and the rebound was really fun.

Congrats to rod the worm, LordFarquard And Michiel for dominating.
04 Apr 21 UTC [Kenya]:To be honest, I deliberately passed up on SC's so it would look like Russia was in the lead. That's part of the reason Antartica survived so long, haha. So, Russia, you were definitely on to something!
