22 Sep 19 UTC	[Portugal]:Hey guys, thanks for the game! I really enjoyed it. First of all because I'm actually Portuguese, living in Portugal! When I got Portugal I was quite disappointed. I thought I was stuck between Spain and MAO and that I would keep bouncing until someone just got me, even tough it is my home country... But then, things happened and I need to thank 3 guys. 1st. Marseille - supported me to Spain in S01, putting me in the game. After that I just needed some luck in a few bounces and a stab at him to get a stable position in the early game. I got all fleets in the first years so I could control mao and wes/gol. By 1907 I was in Tyrrhenian sea. Warsaw was strong and Liverpool was fighting him in the north. I had no allies and Venice was perfect. My 2nd thank you goes to Venice! No fleets and a lot of work to do in Austria. So I just supported him, then sinalized a convoy to albania which happened in the next year. That was quite fun. I eventually got control of Greece and Bulgaria but once Con conquered turkey it was impossible to keep so I went back. I didn't plan to stab Venice when I supported him, but then I needed a SC to avoid destroying units and Naples was very tempting. I was already strong in the north and I needed to secure the stalemate line with Tunis in the med do try the solo to Germany and stp. Here comes the 3rd thank you - Constantinople! I would eventually get the solo, I guess. but the fact that this guy attacked almost everyone that was trying to stop me, just helped a lot. Not sure if he did it because he didn't realize I would win or because he did realize and went for more sc for points in a sum of square game. That's why I don't like SoS. Anyway, I'm glad I won. Especially with Portugal. Thanks everyone!
22 Sep 19 UTC	[Portugal]:Constantinople: I think you are misunderstanding the point of the game. It is not about points. It is about winning, drawing or losing. You got 15 sc but you lost anyway, just like everyone you attacked in the last years. If you didn't do that, you could have had a chance stopping a solo win and getting a draw.

But when I decided to attack, I did it because 1) It was clear you would break through in the north eventually at that point (move to Denmark, support to Hel), at which point STP is lost. At the same time, I could not keep guessing correctly about Tunis, which gets you to 18. 2) And more crucially, I did not realise this was WTA. Thus, instead of sitting tight and hoping for you to screw up somehow, I assumed you'd solo anyway and the correct decision was to get a bigger survival. This is ofc stupid, but I guess I was getting this mixed up with vdip's PPSC, where even in the event of a solo all points are distributed as the name indicates.
