09 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 1999: Good luck. May the best diplomats win, and please don't attack me |
09 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 1999: Good luck all |
10 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Cuba and NY both?? |
10 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Looks that way. They may come in a turn late though. |
10 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 1999: NY reporting in......game started faster than I expected. |
14 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 2000: lol British Columbia pls |
14 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 2000: I am Fidel Cornholio, new leader of Cuba. I need teepee for my bunghole |
24 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: NYC has become a power-house, and he is about to eat heartland's centres. The naval powers on the east coast are stopping his movement into south America, but unless a land-power moves against him, its an easy solo for him. Time for a little "stop-the-leader". This game is NOT sum-of-squares, it is draw-size-scoring. No points for helping other players win. |
24 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: Wow, that was harsh. Might I point out that the BC/Ca alliance is doing rather well as well and Peru is a juggernaut coming from a corner.....there are lots "threats" in this one still and talking about the threat of a solo at this point is really silly. |
24 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: Anyone who understands dip (and there are at least a few of us on this board) can see you are trying to blind people to my point. Peru is a "juggernaut" - easy, Trump. We can see you lying to us. |
24 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: Mm, hard sell. There are 3 players with 8 SC'S. By no means does New York have a guaranteed victory. By your logic, unless someone stops Peru, they will eat Mexico and become stoppable. Unless someone stops California they will eat BF and become unstoppable |
24 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: *bc |
24 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: The game is surprisingly multi polar and its not yet appropriate to resign a Victor yet |
24 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: You're "not buying it" because you want to keep the peace with your more powerful neighbour. He is two of you, and growing through Manitoba and heartland in the next 1-2 years. In that same time, peru, texas and California all bump into each other. Meanwhile, NY has easy growth routes. He won't solo right this second, but look at the obvious outcomes for the next 1-2-3 years. He's ahead now, and moving further ahead each year for at least the next few. |
25 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: It gets a bit silly to try and prove futures and claim "experience" as the teacher. It is still multipolar and I lie awake at the thoughts of trying to hold off fleets coming from both north and south. I'll gain a couple of dots, but Texas will as well...but I am done with public debates....fortunately this is not a game limited to public press. |
25 Oct 17 UTC | Spring, 2003: I can't believe any of you are not petrified of the potential Cuba solo. Better watch out, we have some mean fucking cigars down here :) |
25 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 2003: I cant believe how few people have played this game. You're right, new York is the weakest player on the board, and you should all band together to help them gain more centres, so they can keep up with the rest of us. Don't think ahead in diplomacy. It just makes you lose. |
25 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 2003: Don't usually find noobies in anon games, BC -- try a different approach. |
25 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 2003: LOTS of noobies in anon games in trump's world, lies are truth and truth are lies - so, hey, no one has ever played dip |
25 Oct 17 UTC | Autumn, 2003: >Hey everyone New York is going to take over, trust me! >Lies are truth and truth are lies Hmmm... |
