25 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 2005: Cant you just draw? What is your goal?
25 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 2005: My goal is a three-way draw for me and my allies (Italy and Britain). If they tell me unequivocally that they want the game to end, then I will draw. My opinion is that a 6-way draw would be a crappy way to end a game that only started with 10 players. We are not stalemated, and if you wanted a fast game there are ones with 6 hour (or shorter) phases available. I like to finish what I started, but if my allies bow out I will go along with it.
25 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 2005: I sleep longer than 6 hours so I would miss moves. Thereby both of your allies have already voted draw. Imo its crappy to want a victory with an ally that lost so many SC (--> Italy) its like taking all of his sc but 1 and still let em draw. Instead you could admit that your opponents played well and exchange italy for them. Youre just extemely lucky my hands have been tight the last years of the game. Wouldnt be so easy for you ;)
25 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 2005: Well, unlike Poland and Egypt, I am not shrinking. I can't remember the last center I lost. My misfortune of bearing the force of both Egypt and turkey was offset by the support of my allies. Surely, you'd admit that my location is more influential than a single SC power safely behind the lines of victorious powers.
25 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 2005: True, besides Marseilles and Monaco ;P
25 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 2005: You have a better memory than I! Twas only a flesh wound though... ;)
26 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 2005: Italy has been a fantastic ally for the duration of this game, and would be dominating if not for his unfortunate geographical position. He will be included in any draw I am a part of. I also believe that everyone still playing has played well - to me that is even more reason to continue this game, if only because the remaining players are all top quality and that makes for a better challenge. Who knows, Turkey, maybe we will get to test each other soon?
26 Oct 16 UTC Spring, 2005: Once you can test me you will have reached a 100x better position than ill be in.
02 Nov 16 UTC Spring, 2007: This may be my last game for a while, I'm trying to get away from the backstabbing nature. That being said...

Let's consider this thought experiment. I'm telling you, and I have no plans to betray my allies, but think about what would happen if I did. This spring, I move fleets to Ligurian Sea, North Sea and Norwegian Sea, an army to Lapland and convoy from Gibraltar to Marseilles. Of course, Germany in Italy wouldn't be expecting it, so they don't make moves against it. In the fall, I could take Holland, Lyon, Marseilles and Mon. The rules allow me to place armies in any SC, including Norway and Bordeaux. I would gain four new armies, and Germany and Italy would both lose two. The question is, is that enough of a head start to blitz the mainland? IE, would Germany and Italy be able to pivot fast enough to stop me?

Again, purely hypothetical thought experiment.
02 Nov 16 UTC Spring, 2007: They would probably turn around and give me the opportunity to squash them in between the two of us, which will most likely result in me winning because I got way more armies in the front line than you
02 Nov 16 UTC Spring, 2007: What's the required SCs to win on this map?
02 Nov 16 UTC Spring, 2007: 33
02 Nov 16 UTC Spring, 2007: now's the time to ask that question?
02 Nov 16 UTC Spring, 2007: :')
02 Nov 16 UTC Spring, 2007: I figured Turkey and I could split the map, but that isn't the question. I was wondering if I could blitz Europe so quickly no one could stop me.

Oh well. Finish Egypt so I can stop checking this game!
13 Nov 16 UTC Egypt is all gone now, right? We can declare the 4-way draw.
13 Nov 16 UTC Or do we need to wait until winter?
13 Nov 16 UTC Better do 1 more phase to prevend a take over 5 way draw
14 Nov 16 UTC Good to go.
14 Nov 16 UTC Great game everyone.
